Most of us watch Nico Nico Douga for the lives and videos of Vocaloid/Nico singers, and it's hard when we can't relate to what the comments are saying XD;. It's ok. I'm in the process of updating this anyway XD;.

Wakotsu is a shortened form of "Good job on getting the slot to start the namahousou" or "Namahousou no waku tori otsukaresama deshita (lol rough translation is rough). It got shortened to Waku Otsu and then Wakotsu XD.

今北 or 今きた or いまきた (ima kita) is used when you just entered a live. It simply means you're "here now" or "just arrived" (in the live).

I haven't encountered "fmfm" before, but it might stand for "fumofumo" meaning having a clean, fluffy feeling. うぽつ (upotsu) is short for "up otsukaresama" or "good job uploading". :)

It's derived from "Waratta" meaning "laughed", so when you say "warota" it means something specific made you LOL. Asamaru also uses another version of this: "Warosu" or ワロス

Hello!

hshs is a shortened form of ハスハス which is supposedly the sound of excited breathing. It usually means the ecchi/eroi type of excitement, but anything goes? for example, 可愛い女の子(*´д`*)hshs (I love cute girls or sth to that effect). LOL Sorry for the vague explanation ^^;

It's actually some sort of warning when the nama is about to end (how many minutes until it ends). People do it with any number so there are also chances they'd say @10 or @15 or @3. I thought it was pretty self-explanatory, but maybe I'll add it in anyway. thanks!

Re: overheard words ....

Maybe you mean "kotehan" for the first word? It means "handle name". When the one holding the nama asks for the commenters' kotehan, he's asking them to be un-anon or to put a name beside their comment (using @(name)) so he'll know who he's talking to. There's more information about that in my namahousou guide.

I am not sure what the second one is because I haven't heard it before ;;. Sorry.

this is just my guess, but i think 4649 is the same as 4679: yoroshiku. this is because the 4 in japanese can be either pronounced as 'yon' or 'shi' (yon-roku-shi-kyu).

Thank you for making this, it's so helpful~

There's this one Vocaloid song, "Go Google It", that uses a lot of Japanese internet slang, and I was wondering if maybe you could help with clarifying one of the meanings.
VIP- My best guess is that it has something to do with the live performances.

I haven't encountered either terms before, so if you could give me more info? o.o

Although the last might be "3, 2, 1, cue", which is used at the end of calls so they will hang up at the same time. It's also used for those who do serifu or line-reciting, so they'll be synchronized.
