As you might remember, I posted the midyear special ranking sometime in July, where the songs included were those uploaded from December 2009 to June 2010. This is the LATTER PART of that ranking, where the top songs from June 15 to December 14, 2010 are uploaded.

The video has 80 songs, but the mylist has 200 songs O_O;. A-anyway, I've included them all in the list. As with the previous mid-year ranking and all the other rankings which aren't weekly, this is written in reverse for more suspense :D.

Since all of them are Miku songs, I'll just type the song, composer and additional Vocaloids used if there are any :).

The last few are so predictable XD;. Anyway, I'll be doing the rest of the rankings, too (how many more to go? D: ) so please wait for them! /o/

...The tags...I...will do them later orz.

fatmanP

fatmanP or Ohyama Shun is a 20-year old Vocaloid producer and indies composer. Aside from uploading his own solo works, he also was a member of the unit ipse-dixit. He started uploading Vocaloid songs September 2008 and is slightly active until now. When he's not working on Vocaloid songs, he's composing instrumental tracks he uploads in his youtube channel.

fatman's style is largely varied but mostly based on technopop. He also does ballads, but still having the techno/electronica base. His instrumental compositions are mostly trance/electronica. Most of the time, his songs also have elaborate piano music mingling with the techno beats. He also likes using English lyrics in his songs, like in Dancer in the Dark and Mine, Yours.

He uses Megurine Luka for most of his works, but he also uses Hatsune Miku (+Append). His Miku is more often than not, tuned very high. His Luka tuning changes from husky low to sharply high in some songs. He has also released his first album Silent Noise during Vomas, although the CD is also available in toranoana.

sample songs
Mine, Yours. (Megurine Luka)
Haru Koi Uta (Megurine Luka)
Dancer in the Dark (Megurine Luka)
Sekai no Tada Hitori no (Hatsune Miku)
Dream Land (Megurine Luka)

nikki says
FatmanP is actually one of the first Luka composers I encountered, and that time, I fell in love with his Haru Koi Uta. Eventually, my favorite became Dancer in the Dark. I am not into electronica/techno much, but since he has made his songs ballads and bordering into pop, I find them lovely. He has a way of tuning Luka that I do not like (sometimes Luka sounds hard on the ears because her voice "rings" when too high) but other than that, I enjoy his works immensely, mostly because of the catchy beat and piano/violin melody.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #163 (November 8-15, 2010)

I like this week because of the influx of wonderful new songs, as well as surprising movements among the old songs in the ranking. The top 3 are also of different genres so it's an interesting listen XD.

↑# - the song moved up from a previous top 30 rank
↓# - song moved down from a previous top 30 rank
- song is a re-entry to the top 30 rankings

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #162 (November 5-11, 2010)

This week is a bit uneventful due to the lack of new song influx, although the new songs are wonderful! Also, November 5 was Meiko's birthday! Sadly, only a few of her songs made it to the rankings, but they are really nice. Please do check them out.

This week's Vocaranking has a lot of remains of last week's but that doesn't mean it's not a good week. The new songs are really nice, and in various genres, too.

This week has only a bit of new uploads (wait until next week, after Miku's birthday matsuri XD). There's a bit more MMD stuff remaining from the 5th MMD cup and of course, there are songs celebrating Lily's release. The rest are mere movements within the ranks and surprising returns.

Just a heads up since you might not notice, but I won't be using YT links/embeds for utattemita/Vocaloid music anymore unless it's something not in Nicovideo. Some songs are being deleted off YT and IDK really how producers/singers think of people multi-posting their works in YT, so to keep it safe, I'm using the official Nico Nico Douga links forever XD;. This will also apply to my other websites ([community profile] onsenjikan, etc.). Thanks!

For a proper intro, please read the Miku ranking here. Luka has a lot of songs, too, a total of a hundred I think. I'll be including all of them below.

So far, this and the annual rankings are the only ones I type in reverse order (from 100-1) so that it'd be more exciting :). If you want me to do the midyear/annual rankings in the traditional way (the 1-xx order), just tell me :).

You might notice that some of the titles/P names are still in Japanese. It's because I'm not sure how to romanize them correctly.
