Hi! Actually I wouldn't have looked it up if no one asked XD But since you did...I asked/search around and found this hypothesis.
3331 is "read" in Japanese.
the first (3) is read as "san" the 2nd (3) is read as "mi" the 3rd (3) and (1) are combined to form (4), read as "shi" i'm not sure but the (1) is still mentioned in the end as "ichi" or "i" for short. combining them, you can get the title "Samishii" meaning "Sad".
