Yeah, the bonuses are nice, but sometimes they overdo the gimmick and just grates on my nerves. I mean, I can't say I've never gone for it (Ayumi Hamasaki and the various versions of her "H" single, anyone?), but sometimes it's too much of an awkward money grab. In this case, I would have gone for 1 store's bonus and called it good. I suppose it's woe to the one who likes every one of tracks on the bonus CDs?
Well, that reminds me... Square is doing something similar with the release of Lightning Returns (a game in the Final Fantasy series). Preorder nets you a certain downloadable content, and ordering from various stores will net you ONE in a series of downloadable contents. I mean, I suppose one could order a copy of the game from each vendor that offers the promotion, sit on the extras for awhile, and then sell them off at slightly discounted prices to reduce the damage to the bank account...
