Hm...It's been a while since I've been to Nico, so I don't recall much of the changes, sorry. But, does this mean your comment is also in black font in the chat log, like the viewers? Your comment might not become red in the screen, but it should be markedly red in the chat log. For that to happen, you have to type, not in the comment field you usually use, but in the field for uploader comments. It's the one that appears at the top of the nama window. I'm not sure where exactly it is now, but I'll try screencapping it if you need more help :)
