Weekly Vocaloid Ranking # 206 (September 05-12, 2011)

Sorry for the delay! This week's ranking has a lot of leftovers from last week, so there aren't that many new songs. STILL! The few new ones this week are all beautiful in a way, so I hope you'll check number1 them out! GUMI is reigning with Miku in this list so GUMI fans, rejoice XD.

↑# - the song moved up from a previous top 30 rank
↓# - song moved down from a previous top 30 rank
- song is a re-entry to the top 30 rankings

Songs are arranged from 1-30.

01. Cosmos (GUMI) - otetsu
- I just. Like all of. Otetsu's works so. I'll leave you guys to listen before I flail with nonsensical stuff XD.

02. Hello, Worker (Megurine Luka) - Eshi ja nai KEI
- This is a typical KEI song: very simple melody and lyrics, but the meaning with depth that makes the song charming.

03. Ikimasu! Karaoke Ikkyoku-me (Hatsune Miku) - HobonichP
- Whoaaa. Could this be thanks to a certain cover? XD

04. Cyber Thunder Cider (VY1) - EZFG
- ↓01

05. Koko ni Aru Koto (Hatsune Miku) - FuwariP
- Title means "The Things that are Here". It's reaaaaaaaaalllly beautiful ; __ ;. Well, all of Fuwari's works are pretty, or Stephie and I are just overly biased :D.

06. Kyarirenren - Ponponpon full ver. (Kagamine Len) - GigaP
- KEEP. This is a cover of that same idol song OrebananaP covered

07. CRAZY (Hatsune Miku) - Yamaguchi Tarou
- The melody of the guitars is just...crazy, like the title says. It's punkish but not really...it's hard to describe but it gives a kick that's worth looping XD.

08. 1925 -rearrange- (Megurine Luka) - OreginalP
- ↑11

09. Legacy (Kagamine Rin Append) - Karasuyasabou
- After Karasuyasabou's stunt with "Jabberwocky, Jabberwocka" I was expecting another brain-breaking crazy song, but I pleasantly find this a dramatic rock ballad. The guitars, surprisingly, aren't sharp and are just resounding over the snare drum sounds and Rin's very soft voice. It's really beautiful.

10. GIFT (GUMI) - HanatabaP
- This is a refreshing dance pop with a really colorful PV XD. I'm more used to HanatabaP's ballads so this is a good change for me.

11. BLACKBIRD (Hatsune Miku) - koma'n
- Koma'n comes up with another hit after Badbye. It's a similar strong-themed rock song with Miku's high voice against heavy drumming and guitars.

12. Strobe Light (Hatsune Miku) - PowaPowaP
- ↓05

13. Tokyo Teddy Bear (Kagamine Rin) - Neru
- ↓12

14. Natsu ni Sarishi Kimi wo Omoufu (Hatsune Miku) - baker
- ↑19 Not sure but I think the title means something like "Fluffy Thoughts of You as Summer Fades".

15. Rarirurira (Kagamine Rin and Len) - koushirou
- ↑20

16. DANCE FLOOR (GUMI) - buzzG
- ↓03

17. Zutto ne (GUMI) - conti4x
- Title means "Always". I haven't heard of this P before, but his intro reminds me of keeno's songs. His GUMI sounds reaaallly awesome, not too high and not too low, but so smooth-sounding. Her voice against the guitars is so lovely.

18. Koushino Shinzou (GUMI) - NishizawasanP
- Title means "Heart of Trellis". The premise is interesting, with rather unusual guitar work (at least for me) before evolving into NishizawasanP's signature melody with heavy bass and muffled drums. GUMI sounds good despite being a bit rough-sounding, too.

19. Ama no Jaku (GUMI) - 164
- ↑27 Title means "Heaven's Weakness".

20. Freely Tomorrow (Hatsune Miku) - Mitchie M.
- ↓14

21. Kanzensei Complex (Megurine Luka) - Yamikuro
- ↑22 Title means "Integrity Complex".

22. Red Reflection (MEIKO) - maya

23. intention (Hatsune Miku) - U-ske

24. Floor Sign (Kagamine Rin/Len, GUMI) - L-tone
- I don't know much about this unit (luna x note) but I love the song! The guitar/piano combination reminds me of SCL project, but it's a whole new thing once the song stars.

25. Kimi to Mita Hoshizora (Megurine Luka) - Easypop
- ↓13 Title means "The Starry Sky I Watched With You".

26. Shiryokukensa (GUMI) - 40mP
- ↑30 Title means "Eyesight Test".

27. Corona (Kagamine Rin) - UtsuP
- ↓08

28. fix (Hatsune Miku Dark) - keeno
- ↓07

29. Yozora ni Hanasaku Onegai Summer! (Gensou Aerie) - Pantanz
- Title means "A Wish Blooming in the Summer Night Sky". In case you're not familiar with them, Gensou Aerie is Pantanz's "boy band" composed of Gakupo, KAITO, Kiyoteru and Len. Therefore, you can expect this song is a pop and cheesy as boy band songs go XD;. The only difference is that it has a traditional Japanese feel, meant to illustrate Japanese summer festivals.

30. Senkouhanabi (Hatsue Miku) - Konjiji
- Title means "Sparklers". The intro starts off like a music box, slowly diverting into a piano ballad. Miku's really high here, but she doesn't sound shrill at all. The PV is lovely, too. It reminds me of one of ArieP's ballads, probably because both have great piano melodies.

PICKUP:
The Fate of Outcast (Hatsune Miku) - thely/LoliP
- This is a rock song with a slight anime feel to the intro. Miku is tuned really low and grating, but surprisingly she worked well against the rough guitars.

ED:
Aozora Sanpo (Hatsune Miku) - Mijika
- Title means "A Stroll in the Blue Sky". The intro of this song is a pretty guitar-piano combo, rising into a bossanova beat. Miku kind of drowned most of the melody, but it's still a good listen for me.
