This week has surprisingly a lot of returning popular songs as well as remnants of the past ranking, so only very few songs are here today. The good side of this is that we have new top songs this week, all of them are so worth checking out.

Sorry for the delay! This week's ranking has a lot of leftovers from last week, so there aren't that many new songs. STILL! The few new ones this week are all beautiful in a way, so I hope you'll check number1 them out! GUMI is reigning with Miku in this list so GUMI fans, rejoice XD.

FuwariP / ふわりP

mylist

FuwariP is a new producer, having only started putting out songs on July 2010. His original uploading name is Takahiro, but at his third song, he started taking suggestions on what to use as a P name. Eventually, he took "FuwariP".

Fuwari's songs are mostly acoustic and piano ballads with very simple, gentle melodies. Occasionally, he composes slightly upbeat songs, but they're still very light on instruments and still have the gentle aura which has become Fuwari's signature. He extensively uses piano music as he himself can play the piano quite well (like in this performance). For his richer or more complicated melodies, he likes applying orchestraic effects including violins, drums, etc. to accompany the piano. In general, Fuwari's music is very relaxing and nice on the ears.

Fuwari uses only Miku (and Miku Append) for his works. His Miku, contrary to his gentle music, is tuned with a solid and full voice without any effects. She mostly sings at a satisfactory range so there's no shrill high or gratingly low parts.

FuwariP also covers songs by other Ps...okay, maybe just one time for Christmas ^^;.

songs
Kirari (Flash of Light)
Mata Ashita (See You Tomorrow)
Present
Kaerimichi (The Way Home)
Ofuro de Pokapoka (Nice and Warm in the Ofuro)

covers
Marukunaru (XenonP original)

Like most people, I've known of FuwariP because of "Mata Ashita" which still remains to be one of my favorite Vocaloid ballads. After that, I loved every song he uploaded. His piano melodies are always so soothing *_*.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #179 (February 28 - March 07, 2011)

Not that many new songs this week and most of the rankings are just movements of those from the previous ranking. However, I hope you won't skip this one because despite the few new stuff, most of the songs are from Ps you don't hear from often or you might have never even heard of before.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #178 (February 21 - 28, 2011)

Today's week has a lot of movements, few songs have decided to do a comeback and take one rank up at a time, while a lot more had decided it's time for them to zoom down. Which leaves us with new songs in the upper rankings, all of them worth checking out! I apologize for the lack of good descriptions, as I'm running out of time ^^;.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #174 (January 24-31, 2011)

I'm a bit late (by hours?) with this week's writeup, since I'm busy finishing some stuff for this month XD;. Anyway, this week has a lot of remnants of the previous rankings, but there are a few new songs worth a listen. Most of the old songs are at the bottom of the ranking, so it's apparent that the new songs are also top-notch. Super old regulars also showed some strength this week, either returning or not slipping away (yes, this includes daniwellP's nyanya song which is still stuck in my head XD).

I have a mod announcement coming up a bit later, so please wait for that, too!

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #173 (January 17-25, 2011)

This week's ranking has a good influx of new songs although most of those from the past week are strong enough to stay (even if pushed down a lot). There are a lot of rock songs this week, too, as well as awesomely catchy ones!

I apologize for the lack of info and comments on the PV and images. I wrote this at work and my work Mac has no Flash (yay!) so I'm using nicosound to stream the whole thing x_X;

As you might remember, I posted the midyear special ranking sometime in July, where the songs included were those uploaded from December 2009 to June 2010. This is the LATTER PART of that ranking, where the top songs from June 15 to December 14, 2010 are uploaded.

The video has 80 songs, but the mylist has 200 songs O_O;. A-anyway, I've included them all in the list. As with the previous mid-year ranking and all the other rankings which aren't weekly, this is written in reverse for more suspense :D.

Since all of them are Miku songs, I'll just type the song, composer and additional Vocaloids used if there are any :).

The last few are so predictable XD;. Anyway, I'll be doing the rest of the rankings, too (how many more to go? D: ) so please wait for them! /o/

The last one for this year, this is our third list of songs Vocaloid producers sang. They can be self-covers, covers of other songs or original songs altogether. You might be familiar with some of them as they appeared in the utattemita ranking.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #168 (December 13-20, 2010)

Not many new things today, which is a bit disapppointing since the old songs just ended up getting juggled from one rank to another. There are quite a few well-known P's who uploaded this week, anyway, so the ranking is worth a look!
