Due to work issues, I haven't been able to do the Vocaran for this week. However, stephieku has kindly typed up the Vocaran writeup for the comm. The only thing lacking are the comments, since we both don't have the time right now to listen and comment properly on each song. But! Stephie has included everything else in the ranking. As you might remember, I posted the midyear special ranking sometime in July, where the songs included were those uploaded from December 2009 to June 2010. This is the LATTER PART of that ranking, where the top songs from June 15 to December 14, 2010 are uploaded.

The video has 80 songs, but the mylist has 200 songs O_O;. A-anyway, I've included them all in the list. As with the previous mid-year ranking and all the other rankings which aren't weekly, this is written in reverse for more suspense :D.

Since all of them are Miku songs, I'll just type the song, composer and additional Vocaloids used if there are any :).

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #168 (December 13-20, 2010)

Not many new things today, which is a bit disapppointing since the old songs just ended up getting juggled from one rank to another. There are quite a few well-known P's who uploaded this week, anyway, so the ranking is worth a look!

Yukkedoluce (黒髪さらさらロングP)

Yukkedoluce (or yukke) is a newbie to the Vocaloid community, having uploaded his first song only this April. His style is still quite shaky but most of his songs border on alternative to rock, usually fast paced with unpredictable phrasing. He likes using a lot of guitars and drums, and is currently learning how to use the most of DTM. He also draws the art for all of his songs.

Yukke uses Miku as his only Vocaloid and is still learning on how to tune her to perfection. Most of the time, he tunes Miku a little too high, making his songs hard to cover (check Akari to Kagi). Recently, though, he's started toning Miku a little lower.

Aside from composing Vocaloid songs, Yukke has taken a liking to covering songs under another name "Dolucey".

I first encountered yukkedoluce in his first work which was amazingly covered by Asamaru. After translating the song, I instantly fell in love with it and decided to follow this person's works. I admit that at first I thought he was a girl and had these kawaii-kawaii talk with him before I listened to his namahousou and realized he's a 21-22 year-old guy ;_;. Nevertheless, outside his music, yukke tends to be a very random person but interesting nonetheless. You can find my translations of all of his songs here. :)

Also, he prefers to be called yukke, as doluce is, if I remember correctly, the name of his dog. If you go to his site and click Ayane (the girl), you'll end up seeing a page where he considers you a hentai because you clicked on Ayane ^^;
