blogAll of the producers I've featured so far have composed their own songs and tuned their own Vocaloids to sing their compositions. However, people who cover songs using Vocaloids (meaning not composing their own songs) are also called producers. KonkiP is one cover producer that I like.
KonkiP is a producer who started uploading covers of songs in 2008. She (I will assume that she is female) loves musicals and it appears in her works. She made covers for musicals (
CATS, Elisabeth), classical pieces (
Mozart's Requiem: Lacrimosa), Disney films (
Aladdin), anime (
Chobits) and even sentai (
Kamen Rider series). I'm sure you're aware of her cover of "A Whole New World" from Aladdin featuring Meiko and Kaito. She can make her Vocaloids sing both in English and Japanese but predominantly, she covers the Japanese versions of musicals
KonkiP uses Kaito, Gakupo, Meiko, and rarely, Kiyoteru in her covers. But she mostly uses Kaito since for some reason, his voice appears more appealing in opera-like pitches. She seems to be very meticulous even with very small pitch changes since you can notice the slight voice curves when her Vocaloids sing. She is also particular with making Vocaloids pronounce words properly, as you may notice in her English covers where she really tried hard in making the Vocaloids enunciate the words as exactly as she can. This makes listening to her covers really enjoyable even if they're just covers of songs that are excellent on their own.

which sounds like Total Eclipse of the Heart /shotnikki says:I don't usually like covers unless they're really well done and KonkiP's works are more than well done. They're awesome. She has a way of making the Vocaloids sound wonderful against the classical music background (in musicals). It's also nice to discover that Kaito and Meiko (and Gakupo) would sound so good in songs from musicals! If you love the theater or its music, you'll be sure to love KonkiP's works :).
BTW, I assumed that she is female because of the way she writes and because of her hobbies (she plays otome games ^^;.). If I am wrong, I apologize.
