While having a lot of remnant from last week, this ranking boasts of wonderful new songs specifically from GUMI and from the to-be-released Vocaloid IA -Aria on the Planetes-. There are a couple of songs which are also going to be part of big albums, as well as covers and rearrangements.

The picture cover for this ranking, by the way, is new Vocaloid Tone Rion.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #172 (January 10 - January 17, 2011)

As with the utattemita ranking, this week is also productive in terms of uploaded Vocaloid works. So many new and pretty things are at the top this week, that they pushed the oldies down. A lot of genre are also covered this week, from hard rock to jazz to ballad to just plain eeriness XD.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #171 (January 03 - January 10, 2011)

This week's Vocaloid ranking has a new video size as well as format, and that is why it is late by a day. And I am also late because...of some distractions. Sorry! D: Anyway, this song has very few uploads but most of them are by awesome people worth noting. There is a lot of movement this week, with surprising pushes to the top and returns. The top 3 are indispensably amazing, too.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #163 (November 8-15, 2010)

I like this week because of the influx of wonderful new songs, as well as surprising movements among the old songs in the ranking. The top 3 are also of different genres so it's an interesting listen XD.

For a proper intro, please read the Miku ranking here. The Kagamine twins has 184 songs in the ranking mylist, but I'm only tackling the top 100. Since there are technically two singers here (Rin and Len), I'll note who is singing which song.

So far, this and the annual rankings are the only ones I type in reverse order (from 100-1) so that it'd be more exciting :). If you want me to do the midyear/annual rankings in the traditional way (the 1-xx order), just tell me :).

You might notice that some of the titles/P names are still in Japanese. It's because I'm not sure how to romanize them correctly.

A bit late today for those in my timezones, sorry. I also apologize if I haven't been replying to comments. Life is a needy boyfriend :). Anyway, it's better to be late than not post, right?

LeleleP/れれれP

LeleleP, or Yuu, is one of the youngest Vocaloid producers I know of, having started uploading songs when he was 16 years old (Feb 2008). He is just 18 years old now, a new high school graduate, and he already has 22 songs to be proud of. He was nameless when he first uploaded his work, Heta Len ka, and just started using the name LeleleP when he uploaded his third work. Of course, you know by now that his producer name is from his Lenka (love songs) series (heta, ike, tsunde, mase, yande) which are also the reason why he's well-loved by Kagamine Len fans. These songs characterize different "Len" personalities, from clumsy to stubborn to violent.

LeleleP's music is encompassingly pop utilizing keyboards and synthesized instruments. His songs have repeated steady beats usually apparent in pop songs. His songs are almost always upbeat, no matter what the genre is. Despite not using real instruments or complicated arrangements, LeleleP manages to make each of his songs own a distinct, interesting melody. As his name implies, he mostly uses Len (and Rin) in his works, although he also uses KAITO, Miku and Luka. Most people would prefer his Len works over others, but I honestly think his tuning of Luka is pretty good (Rin, too). However, I give him the most credit for producing many varied personas of Len. Listening just to his Len ka series would give you the experience of his skills. :) If you are into pop and Len, you know which producer to follow :3.

nikki says:
LeleleP is one of my first favorite producers when I was new to the fandom because I was obviously biased towards Len songs. I find his songs refreshing, quite different from the dark Kagamine songs that used to frequent Nico Nico Douga (well, aside from Yande Lenka, maybe). He also utilizes the "pop" genre well and incorporates Japanese, Spanish, fantasy and other themes in his songs. My favorite songs from him would be the ones above, plus Mase Lenka and Yande Lenka.

I've been browsing February uploads in Vocaloid-dom today and decided to translate the top 30 ranking for the previous month on a whim. I don't have the time to do the weekly ranking, but if they have a monthly ranking regularly, maybe I can squeeze that in between utatte mita posts :3. Anyway, here are the top 30 Vocaloid songs for February. Some are new, some are as old as February 2009.

The list is not inverted, so you want, you can start at the bottom :3.
