Treow started uploading music on Oct 2008 under the circle ElektLyze. His P name is taken from lyric of his first uploaded song L'azur, while his official name came from Murakami Haruki's novel title "End of the world and hardboiled wonderland" (EoW - "end of the world"'s abbreviation). Since 2010 he teamed up with Kitajima Shizuka and created ELECTROCUTICA - a project involves many producers, musicians, singers, etc... He has 17 songs uploaded to NND up to now; the most popular ones are probably Chaining Intention and DYE/Re:flection+ (remix of AVTechNO!'s famous DYE) which got 1st place on Megurine Luka midyear special ranking last year.
It's hard to describe Treow's music, but basically his genre is electronica with the mixture of many complicated melodies and sounds which are not easily recognized on first time listening. His music style is a little similar to Kanno Yoko's (one of the musicians who affected him, as he himself said in Gekkayo magazine interview), means that his works always have certain depth and climax. Many of his songs are moderately catchy electronic tunes alternate with a mixture of piano, drum as well as other instruments; therefore are able to form delicate and fascinating unique sounds that are not too hard on ears, but strong enough to amaze listeners and easily grasp their minds. Moreover, he likes to put expansions and changes in rhythm so much that one of his nicknames is "Young Noble of Rhythm Change". He doesn't often write lyric for his songs; lyrics are written by other members of his circles (NaturaLe, Kitajima Shizuka, hisui0...); which always have deep meaning and go perfectly with the glamorous music.
Treow mostly uses Miku and Luka for his works. His Miku often has solid and clear voice which can reach extremely high notes without any strain (for example L'azur or Drain), but sometimes is slender enough to blend smoothly with calm and subtle rhythms. Her voice is often tuned to be not too loud, as if it was about to dissolve into the music, yet still sharp enough to be heard clearly. Treow is also known for making Miku hum with a tranquil voice or speaking in a little robotic way at some parts. His Luka's voice is calm and rich, gently mixed with Miku's and always makes a lively combination. Treow has only used Gumi for iDOLLA, but her voice is greatly tuned too and seems to have a broad range.
After forming ELECTROCUTICA, Treow started to collaborate with many artists on various fields: vocals, instruments, lyrics, video graphic... All the vocalists he chose are famous for their steady and beautiful voices: Luschka, Yanaginagi and F9; as well as skilled musicians and graphic designers, all consequently give his songs the best power to express the deepest meanings. He also does remix of famous songs, and collaborates with other VocaloidP to produce electronica albums, such as Crystalloid (with 8#Prince, AVTechNO!, zddn) and DYE-Synthesis- (with AVTechNO!, under circle name "Abeshoudou").
Treow sometimes holds nama housou with other circle members, and actually he's one of the most serious people i've ever known on NND XD

As i said in my previous spotlight, i'm not a fan of electronica at all, but Treow's music has such an extraordinary fascination that i can't help falling in love with. The first song i encountered was Blindness, and to say the truth i wasn't impressed much on the first time listening. I think it's one of the reasons why Treow's music is that charming: you can't easily feel the true melody at first, but it gradually melts into the ears and anesthetizes you before being realized. This also explains why some people can't stand his music, while others are addicted by it, in my opinion. I actually can't remember how many times his songs erased all of my other thoughts and made me deeply fall into his world admiring every single note. If you want to try listening to him, i think you can start with Chaining Intention and iDOLLA.
