OfuroSmiling!

Thanks everyone for participating in #smiling2012 with us at Twitter! We got all the lines we need! Sorry if you couldn't participate this time, maybe we'll do something similar in the future!

We are celebrating the brand new year of 2012 by singing our favorite lines from halyosy's "Smiling". There was quite a response and Gianglh (@gianglh) suggested making an ofurotaimu chorus version combining the contributions on Twitter.

However, we're missing a few lines, we're looking for people to sing the following lines:

Updated lines we need!:
We need more people to sing:

Respectable MOTTAINAI
気付くのは他でもない Respectable mottanai,
Kizuku no wa hokademo nai (Neet Megane's line)

こんなご時世だからこそ笑って未来へと歩こう
Konna gojisei dakara koso waratte mirai e to arukou (Mitani's line)

みんな笑えば門に福来たる ささやかな今を
Minna waraeba kado ni fuku kitaru sasayaka na ima wo (Sekihan's line)

And!!
And as many people singing "Smiling together will be together" "Nico Nico Douga" in different keys!

Feel free to keep on submitting lines, even if they have been done before :) But the lines mentioned above are our priority! Also, if you don't want your soundfile to be used, or you want to redo it, please let us know in the comments or via Twitter! Don't hesitate to ask questions! :)

Well, with the people who sang with music, you can get the off vocal of Smiling and invert the wave form and then place to into the singers file. This should cause the background music to cancel out and you should only get the vocals left.
Goodluck!

I will try my best :3

Oh actually, wave inverting doesn't work that well. It makes the vocals a bit louder and the background noise a bit softer (and LQ), but it doesn't completely take them away. D:

yeah, I prefer using invert but it doesn't work all the time, especially if the person has already mixed it ^^". By the way, you seem to know quite well about mixing. Can I ask you for help sometimes~?

ah, in the end I have PM-ed all the people who sang with music to ask for their vocal-only files XDD

Uwahh? Haha, by far am i not a good mixer. I've actually never done a mix in my life orz But i have read about it a lot. So if you want i can try helping though...
Ahh that works as well xD I just thought it might be at a disadvantage to ask them again for the lines which might delay the chorus a bit.

Yeah, but I tried the invertingn method and it didn't work, cuz for it to work, you need to use the exactly same beat as that person used XDD
Btw, i think things are going pretty well. I Pm-ed all of them and half of them have sent me the off-vocal files ~

Even with the same beat it doesn't necessarily work. I used a on-vocal and off-vocal of the same song and it didn't work as well as i thought. Though...I have to admit that the songs may have been at different timings (Maybe...a few ms apart?) and that might of impacted it.
Ahh that's good to hear. If you need someone to help or check the final product, just ask me. Since i've got a lot of free time at the moment.
