This is a happy week for me because of the many uploads using the new Vocaloid IA -Aria on the Planetes-. Don't you just love saying her name? ♥. You can read more about the IA matsuri in Singing Robots @ LJ.

Anyway, while there are a few remaining strong ones, there are a lot of wonderful new ones. It's interesting to note that some popular Ps tried their hand at IA with varying but still great results!

• Title means "Heart's Democracy". MikitoP does another endearing song that starts of a mere whisper and eventually escalates into a rock song with really good keyboards. Miku sounds breathy as usual, almost ethereal, but she has enough strength to go with the guitar and bass, especially in the chorus.

• Title means "Cat Ears Archive". I love the drums for some reason here! It's just so striking. Ryt's Miku is high-pitched and steely as always but the guitar helps roughen her voice a bit and it's a nice effect.

• Title means "Mimicking Gengar". I kind of...don't understand the title, but with KulfiQ, it's always like that :'D. This is surprisingly a sharp, fast-paced rock song that is rather unlike KulfiQ. Still, it's a lovely, albeit seemingly angry rock song with clear-voiced GUMI in fast but controlled vocals.

• Yuzuhiko comes up with a suspenseful, chime-rich song starting off slow and drawly before rising up to beat and loudness. His GUMI is breathy as always.

• OSTER, who just came back from a very successful Nicofarre concert, does a rare change of genre with a bossanova number. It's a very gentle approach and is holy to the ears.

• Nekobolo uses IA and makes me a happy camper! Unlike his breathy Miku, his IA has a more solid feel but kind of a limited reach (like she'll fall apart at higher pitches). But she sounds super nice.

• This is a jazz-inspired song but with a lot of bass and brass cymbals. It's cheerful and bouncy and is a good distraction from all the rock and heavy songs in the ranking.

• Title means "With You Again". This is a very simple song--a straightforward rock song with GUMI's rare powerful voice against the muffled instruments. I appreciate GUMI's clarity although the guitars could've been louder so as not to alienate GUMI's voice. Despite that, the simplicity itself makes the song a nice listen.

• Title means "Star Chase Frontier". Although the upnushi's name is Caz, he's not to be mistaken for Luka VocaloP Caz ^^;. This is apparently a Meiko original (?). The PV is amazing beyond words. There's not much movement but the details is just so lovely.

• I'm not sure if this is daniwellP's tribute to Nyancat in a way, but aside from being super catchy, it's also quite a time-eater. I mean, I spent half a day following that moving cat around the screen. Seriously.

• One of my favorite IA songs this week. Seriously, PeperonP has worked with almost ALL vocaloids in existence and has never failed to disappoint. This is a tamer style of his fantasy-rockish themes, with more concentration on the orchestraic backgrounds and IA's gentle mid-range voice.

• Title means "Red Shoes". I'm not familiar with Waka but the way GUMI is tuned is really interesting. The dominant voice is not that high but is quite sharp while the back-up one is super high but muffled. It takes a bit of getting used to but since it's a rock song the rowdiness is a given. The guitars are amazing, by the way.

daniwellP never fails to catch my attention. How can so much cuteness come from one creator?

Also, isn't Narisumashi Genbar by Rin and Miku, not GUMI?

Chirichiri Juso! I roared with excitement the moment I saw a Kikuo composition go up. Total brainwashing song with a dazzling PV. o_o

Only because I haunt the daily rankings so much, I notice this, but JinP of Kagerou Days fame uploaded an IA song, and the ratio of MyLists to views became 1:2 for the first 2000 or so views. (Compare to usual 1:10 rate; expect this to take #1 next week, barring other circumstances.) His songs do sound cool, but I don't think they warrant this much hype.

Senbonzakura is just..too strong. I don't know if I can handle it anymore..

I got attached to Shinzou democracy the moment I hear it. It got that unusual but in a good way kind of feel.

Now I'm playing that flash game of cute cute cat like there's no tomorrow xD
