Hello. This is the sort-of intro post for commenters/readers of ofurotaimu. Remember I said I welcome people to post pimp posts of their own? But I think I might've scared people off or something, idk, but it's not working LOL. So, this is like a replacement for it.

I talk a lot in the community (super lots) but I don't know much about you guys except for those times we flail around in the comments. And it's a bit lonely not knowing people, especially those who aren't registered in LJ or DW since I only know you by name (or worse, IP address, wtf). So, take this as a survey for me and other readers to know more about you and the things that make you happy :). Who knows, you might also meet people who have the same flail material as you do.

So, if you frequent this comm whether you use DW/LJ or none, please please fill this out. All fields are optional, don't answer some questions if you don't want to. I'd love to know everyone's favorites and how you got into the fandom :3. As for the favorites part, take it as your kind of "pimp post" for your favorites so feel free to include links and spazz and whatnot :D. It's your spotlight, so write whatever you want. Just remember, this is a public post which can be read by people everywhere even from Jupiter :D.

Welcome and thanks for following the comm for quite a long time! You're doing fine! Glad you have a DW account now :3. Actually we did use YT links in the past. I also used YT links in my other comm onsenjikan, but I had some issues with some Ps questioning the uploads in YT so to settle things I just refrain from using YT unless the videos are deleted in Nico (in cases of explaining issues, etc.) or it was upped in Nico by the P/singers themselves. :(

As for MADS and memes, I do not know much about it and I don't think there's a comm in DW for that. But in Livejournal, there's a community called nicospam where they post collective videos under a certain meme or theme. The comm is public so you can view it without joining.

This is super random actually lol. I'm a huge visual kei fan, specifically Alice Nine's huge huge fan xD. as a fan, I naturally stalk their twitter accounts and just randomly, I saw mi-chan reply to Shou's (alice nine's vocalist) tweet. I don't normally do this but that time i just thought i'll see who's the lucky person who gets a RT from Shou, and well apparently mi-chan himself is quite a famous person too xD LOL. since i was bored that time i just thought i'll check him out and clicked on his playlist. I knew about niconico douga long before this so i was pretty curious about what playlist that was and the first song on his playlist was [ee, aa, sou] and I instantly fell in love with his voice xDD; and from then on, i got interested in him, and slowly knowing that this segment utattemita exists in nico nico~ Furthermore, Shou seems to know quite a few of the singers and staff in niconico, like dasoku, since alice nine have a regular show in niconico too, so I just explored more from then on lol. Hi Linc! There are quite a few of the members here who are also Alice Nine fans, they'll be glad to see you here! :) It's a bit difficult getting the whole "view" of this fandom since there are MANY people, from utaite (singers) to Vocaloid producers, but if you have decided on favorites, it'd be easier! ◕ how did you get into utattemita? I was watching various hand-drawn PVs, and one featured the Yamai/Tolie/Re:A/Sakura Utawa/Usa collaborative effort of Hitobashira Alice. Around the same time, I discovered the epic re-arranger/composer Hyadain. Never looked back. Actually, I'd say more credit should go to Hyadain; the whole one-person-plays-every-voice thing is a huge draw for me.
◕ first utaite/singer you ever encountered: Not sure if it was Hyadain or Yamai (the first vocal in Hitobashira Alice).
◕ first producer you ever encountered: Hyadain / IbitsuP (Hitobashira Alice). Of course, very soon I stumbled onto other hugely popular songs like the Story of Evil series (mothy), Cendrillon (SignalP), Romeo and Cinderella (doriko).

I am in the midst of deciding which covers of Panda Hero should go into my iPod. Front-runners are Mi-chan, Touyu, and Machigerita, but I'm holding onto 10 mp3's right now...

I'm also working on deciding on 1925, Deathwish, and Mrs Pumpkin's Comical Dream. I have one of each on my iPod already, but all 3 songs have a number of fantastic covers... I'd say the latter is hardest. Many amazing covers, but I can't put all of them in my iPod. I've already got Sekihan's version (25 seconds of epic win beginning 2:47), but I can't seem to name a victor among the rest...

Well, this has always been my problem. Maybe I'll buy a full-size iPod next time and start chucking all covers into the new one.
