Introduce Yourself Post.
Hello. This is the sort-of intro post for commenters/readers of ofurotaimu. Remember I said I welcome people to post pimp posts of their own? But I think I might've scared people off or something, idk, but it's not working LOL. So, this is like a replacement for it.
I talk a lot in the community (super lots) but I don't know much about you guys except for those times we flail around in the comments. And it's a bit lonely not knowing people, especially those who aren't registered in LJ or DW since I only know you by name (or worse, IP address, wtf). So, take this as a survey for me and other readers to know more about you and the things that make you happy :). Who knows, you might also meet people who have the same flail material as you do.
So, if you frequent this comm whether you use DW/LJ or none, please please fill this out. All fields are optional, don't answer some questions if you don't want to. I'd love to know everyone's favorites and how you got into the fandom :3. As for the favorites part, take it as your kind of "pimp post" for your favorites so feel free to include links and spazz and whatnot :D. It's your spotlight, so write whatever you want. Just remember, this is a public post which can be read by people everywhere even from Jupiter :D.

◕ IT'S A LONG STORY. I first learned of it through an LJ acquaintance pimping the Ievan Polka cover, then I forgot about it for a while until I started frequenting NND and discovered Melt. Then I forgot about it again until early last year when I discovered all the other non-Miku Vocaloids and the awesome things people in fandom would make.
◕ how did you get into utattemita? I used to prefer "human covers" to the original Vocaloid songs a lot of the time, so I'd go around digging for covers of every song I liked. Later on I discovered just how deep of a hole utattemita fandom was and I cried.
◕ first utaite/singer you ever encountered: gazelle and halyosy with Melt back in the day! Then last year it was Choucho's BPM cover.
◕ first producer you ever encountered: ryo with Melt. And last year, iroha with Roshin Yuukai -Meltdown-
Favorites
◕ favorite vocaloids/UTAUs: The Kagamines, Gumi, Meiko, Teto, Ritsu, Kanino Pan.,
◕ favorite producers: treow, DATEKEN, Shigotoshite, hachi, papiyon (ChouchoP), and DECO*27, just to mention a few
◕ favorite solo singers/utaite: TOO MANY s-sob. clear, Gero, Dasoku, [REN], Tightson, Valshe, Chibita, Yamai, Kuri Purin, Luschka... etc etc forever.
◕ favorite singing units/collabs: Negero ._., I like CleWota, but I like clear with Vivienne more usually. DasoClear, and VaSoClear. ETA: oh god how did I forget. .5 TOO, UNFFFF.
◕ favorite artists from other yattemita stuff (dancers/musicians, etc): I love Yumiko's odottemitas. And not exactly yattemita stuff, but hnnnngh Suzunosuke's art. *_* Also also Sasaki's PVs always break my heart in the best possible ways.

◕ which part do you like the most? CAN I SAY EVERYTHING? I guess I especially like Spotlights because even if I already know the featured people, I always learn new things about them this way. :3

Melt (both original and covers) was also a big part of my initiation to Vocaloid/Utattemita. It's like magnet of the older days = it's all over the place XD.

Y-yeah...who knew this would be a very time-consuming fandom...Actually, I feel the same as you, I used to feel that some songs are better off sung by humans so I search for covers. But eventually that feeling wore off (too used?). Now there are some songs which I think sound better when sung by Vocaloids ^^;.
Oh crap I forgot about Teto. I like her too! She's the first UTAU I learned of so~. And I cannot blame you for liking Clear/Vivienne (...clevivi?), I love their Tsugai Kogarashi *_*.

Ffffft, it's so true. AND I AM SO SICK OF THE SONG NOW, but god knows I got super excited when it was played during the 39's live. IT'S JUST SO NOSTALGIC.
Now there are some songs which I think sound better when sung by Vocaloids ^^;.
Lololol me too! This happens to me with 90% of sasakure's songs, actually. :'D
