Utaite Spotlight: Jenga
Jenga
mylist | nico community | mixi community | blog
Jenga is a prolific singer who started uploading his covers to Nico Nico Douga in 2008. He has quite a large audience base although since he recently uploads less and less, his view count is just satisfactory at the moment. He is also one of the earlier "Wait, this is a guy?" people in Nico Nico Douga, alongside Piko, Kogeinu and the likes ^^;.
Jenga can sing a wide range of songs. Because of his uh...voice with no gender bias whatsoever, he can sing super high songs and super low songs. Most of his songs involved people debating if he's really the Jenga people know, especially since he uploads one girly sounding song first, then one deep manly song next. Confusion ensues (lots of times).
Not ruining the fun in listening so I'll stop being vague and go to his songs XD;. I hope you listen to the list in this order XD;
sample songs
• Jenga <-- lol!
• Sennen no Dokusou ka
• Last Night, Good Night
• Seeker
• Sayonara no Kawari ni, Hanataba wo <-- hahaha this, brain break so much

I'm sure most of you have heard his rendition of Just Be Friends x Torinoko City crossover (where he totally sounds like a guy XD). I first encountered Jenga's name in one of those seasonal Uta de Tsunagu Nico albums (with Wotamin, clear, etc.) where he sang ORCA so wonderfully. But as I checked his mylist (from earliest to latest then), I was surprised with his cover of Anata ni Hana wo Watashi ni Uta wo. I thought...uhhh maybe she's a girl. And as I ran through his mylist, I keep changing my mind XDD;. I then started thinking along the lines as his fans, "Girl? Boy? No, it's Jenga".
...And actually as I grow accustomed to the fandom, I realized there were a lot like him OTL. Hi Piko XD. Koge. Tenchou. etc.
I have a lot of favorites from this guy, so I'll spare you from my rambling and let you confuse yourself with his mylist XD.
