Utattemita Wiki?

This is a post written in behalf of shurikenger, since LJ users can't post here (sorry ;;).

This post is an interest check on who might be willing to contribute to an utattemita wiki. Will you be interested in seeing a special wiki for utaite and will you be contributing to it? As we all know, a wiki is a very big site and will need a lot of work but it also allows contribution and editing from virtually anyone, so you will be free to contribute and help organize the site as much as you want. So if many people work together, it'll be a great project.

I'd do a poll, but I think it's better for all of us, especially shurikenger, to read everyone's thoughts on this :D. So please comment with your thoughts about this project.

hmm ... that will be interesting indeed! i'm sure that a lot of people will be able to contribute. i'll personally contribute to it if i have anything to write.

It certainly is an interesting idea. However, a wiki is freely edited by anyone even outside of the community. It may seem a bit risky—for there are people who seemingly truly enjoys spamming and everything nice. More so, we couldn't deny the fact that there are really those peak times when most of us are busy IRL. XDD;

Furthermore, I believe almost everyone in the community are weak-hearted/shy/etc to do it by themselves [proof is the lack of people who posts here ww and I won't deny it that I'm one of them]. Especially if they fear grammatical errors [like me 8D;] even if they haven't try doing it yet; therefore, a few people of 3 or 4 may somewhat be better to do it first—and preferably, voluntary =w=b—to encourage everyone.

Well, I am not skilled and informed how sites works so my thought is probably narrow and single-path XDDD;

I agree with Crimsonfire3, there will be lot of complications, problems, work to be done, though a wiki especially for utaite, man that would be amazing. *u*/ If the project does get a 'GO' signal, I'd love to contribute... With whatever microscopic help I can give. *u*d

I'm all for it! Though... I don't think I know any useful information. =w=;; I barely understand Japanese.
It would be very useful, since the only wiki for Utattemita I've seen is in Japanese.

I can contribute with my minimal amount of utaite. I'm not stalking as much as I used to. But I'll try my best to contribute in whatever way I could. :)

Even though I'm Japanese-blind BUT COUNT ME IN!
I'm willing to contribute since now I'll be quite free for some monthssss though, I am worried like crimsonfire3 said, about grammar... haha though I don't think I'll mind it that much since with the grammar nazi out there, I'm sure it'll be fixed quickly enough XD

Ok cool, looks like most people are interested. The wiki has been created at
http://www.musicspeed.com/wiki/Main_Page

Right now there are only two categories, Utaite and Songs. So if you are going to make a new page about a singer, make sure to put [[Category:Utaite]] at the end of the page so that it will get indexed; put [[Category:Songs]] at the end for songs.

To make a new page, you can do one of 2 things:
1)search for it in the searchbox. For example, if you wanted to make a page about the song Just Be Friends, then search for it and follow the Create The Page link.
2)use the URL http://www.musicspeed.com/wiki/blah
Replace blah with whatever you want it to be and click on edit page.

Image uploads are also enabled too

We (the mods) haven't been able to help in any NND-related wiki due to the massive work we already have here since it's mostly just the two of us updating the comm. Sorry in advance, but I don't think we can help out at this time.

Also, a slight note, but I realize your wiki reposted some translations from this community. I don't know if your editors missed it, but I specifically ask readers not to repost my translations anywhere. I am not really comfortable with my posts copy-pasted in other sites :(. And since your site is a wiki, I highly advice being mindful of the copyrights, privacy issues and other issues you might encounter from your posts, images and linkages. I hope you'll be able to attend to these matters, thank you! :) More power to your site and we apologize again for not being able to help.
