Sorry for the bit of delay, I've... okay, honestly I fell asleep and forgot OTL. Today's spotlight is someone relatively popular recently, I feel like I'm cheating when I said I'll spotlight him (but then again, I did a writeup for clear, jack and REN XD).

Nero was first introduced to the community by clear, who sneakily uploaded their duet of "Cantarella" with the premise merely, "I sang with my childhood friend." And until now, it is actually the only thing we know about nero: that he is clear's childhood friend who lives in the same apartment. Everything we know of nero, we hear through clear: how he has night jobs in the evening that's why they kind of rarely see each other, how he used to have no mic in his room and had to go over to borrow, etc. We also know that he is lucky to have clear as a BFF, since clear helped him become popular easily. Nero is also going to appear for the first time in an album (in his Cantarella duet in clear's album). He also calls wotamin, "Onee-chan". In a recent Nico Raji event with Limone-sensei, nero very briefly showed his face to the camera, was made to play shiritori and fail, and was made to say "sex" numerous times.
Nero's voice is very similar to clear at first, especially when they both sing low parts. But on a closer listen, nero's voice is huskier, deeper and thicker compared to clear's clearly (orz) ringing, full but thin voice. He also does less vibrato and very high parts. His song choices range from ballads to upbeat pop to jazz, although I prefer him doing upbeat songs. His diction/pronunciation is almost identical to clear's.
covers
• Just Be Friends -piano ver.- (original by Dixie Flatline)
• Bye-bye Lover (original by samfree)
• Kimi no Taion (original by KuwagataP)
• Just A Game (original by takamatt)
• rain stops, goodbye (original by NioP)

Well, as a clear fan, I can admit that I did know of nero because of clear and probably liked him because of clear. However, I think nero, even without clear, can become popular on his own because of his wonderful voice you can swoon at or sleep with (really, very sleep-inducing voice in a good way). He has a way of choosing songs that fits his singing range/voice. I do not have a clear favorite (ffff I hate accidental puns) in his covers yet, since they're so few, but the constant loop in my player is "Just A Game" and "rain stops, goodbye".
