Capitarou started uploading his works in Nico Nico Douga in 2009, but since he uploads rarely, he only has six uploads, one of them a rearrangement ^^;. You might not know of him because of his very few songs, but you might be able to recognize him as the producer of the hit "Osorezan Revoir".
Capitarou first uploaded a rearrangement of the song "Seikan Hikou" from Macross Frontier, using GUMI and using a very different rock arrangement. However, his forte is not in rock songs, but rather in ballads (or rock ballads). He has a talent for writing mysterious, emotional songs. Not emotional in terms of love, like with papiyon, but more of in a sentimental way. While Capitarou's earlier works uses a lot of guitars and synthetic beats, recently he started using more of piano with haunting tunes.
His main Vocaloid is Miku, although as I mentioned, he used GUMI once in his virgin work. His Miku is tuned just right, not too high and not too low, thus not overshadowing his amazing works with the melody.
Aside from composing songs, he also sings covers of other people's songs, although VERY rarely (he only has a couple). He has a really good voice reminiscent of Keysuke and similar utaite.
sample works
• Seikan Hikou -rearrange rock version- (GUMI)
• Osorezan Revoir (Miku)
• Tooi, Tooi [Far away, Far away] (Miku)
• Yoru Obake to Watashi [The Night Goblin and I] (Miku)
sample covers
• Guriguri Megane to Gekkouchuu (original by FullkawaP) -> o/////o
• Yoru to Nijiiro (FullkawaP original)

Capitaro's "Osorezan Revoir" is one of my favorite Miku songs to date. The message of the song is also hauntingly lovely. I didn't like Capitaro's older works, but his change in style is awesome and so are his recent works. His latest, "Yoru Obake to Watashi" is so cute and creepy, I can't stop listening to it...
