Hello. This is the sort-of intro post for commenters/readers of ofurotaimu. Remember I said I welcome people to post pimp posts of their own? But I think I might've scared people off or something, idk, but it's not working LOL. So, this is like a replacement for it.

I talk a lot in the community (super lots) but I don't know much about you guys except for those times we flail around in the comments. And it's a bit lonely not knowing people, especially those who aren't registered in LJ or DW since I only know you by name (or worse, IP address, wtf). So, take this as a survey for me and other readers to know more about you and the things that make you happy :). Who knows, you might also meet people who have the same flail material as you do.

So, if you frequent this comm whether you use DW/LJ or none, please please fill this out. All fields are optional, don't answer some questions if you don't want to. I'd love to know everyone's favorites and how you got into the fandom :3. As for the favorites part, take it as your kind of "pimp post" for your favorites so feel free to include links and spazz and whatnot :D. It's your spotlight, so write whatever you want. Just remember, this is a public post which can be read by people everywhere even from Jupiter :D.

how did you get into utattemita? A while after getting into vocaloid, a friend linked me to a SPICE! chorus and I was like, "OMFG WHAT IS THIS"

I found halyosy through his konbini cover and though he was a band .__.
Hyadain was through the Super Mario Hyadain, I also thought he was some kind of singing group. Only found out a few months ago that that was aaaaall him xD
Negero, I thought they was some insane radio hosts because of their magnet lolol

I always say pictures of Vocaloids around the web when I chatted on anime/manga forums, & I always assumed Vocaloid was some sort of anime, but then I asked Irene about it & she explained a little bit about it. So then I began looking around, my first song was Cantarella, the Kagamine Len version, & I got hooked.
◕ how did you get into utattemita? One day, I was listening to some songs & I clicked a link that led me to a Mozaik Role Nico Nico Chorus. At first I was like, "Holy crap... There's even more Vocaloids than I thought there was! o__o Mindblown." But some nice people replied to my comment to explain more about Uttatemita, I began listening to more stuff, & yeah, here I am! I think the song that probably got me really into uttatemita was BREEZE by Saiya.

Well, I first heard HJFreaks playing Just be Friends on bass [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqPG9FDHdZw] and thought it was really cool since I is/were a bass player. Then I heard the song being covered live on a concert and was like "Hn, really catchy..." After that, I searched for the song and the singer, found out it was a Vocaloid and got hooked on Megurine Luka~ :3
how did you get into utattemita?
I was searching for another version of Just be Friends and found a piano version of it and the singer was Gero. The way he sang the song was really heartfelt. It was love at first hearing? Lol.

Hello and I am sorry for replying so very late. I keep forgetting OTL I'm getting old.

About the odottemita section, I actually was once in the odottemita fandom, since I adore Makoto and Guriko so much, although my knowledge there is very limited and I'm more into Vocaloid these days. But of course, it's okay to have odottemita stuff here. It even has a tag, I think! XD

About the spotlight, I will be very thankful if you can write for us, since I don't know anything about dances and moves to be honest ._. However, it must be a regular column, will you be okay with that? At least 2 posts a month is the minimum at the moment.

I will be forever grateful if you can, but if you can only do an irregular posting, we can arrange things or something. :)

This... is a really difficult question. I think my first Vocaloid song was Servant of Evil way back when--and, I remember hating it. LOL. /HORRIBLE Then, I heard Kaito's World Change, and I was blown away. Everything after that is kind of history, haha.

My first few Vocaloid songs were actually mostly sung by utaites, but I didn't even realize it until much later. I don't really remember when I officially got into them.
