Introduce Yourself Post.

Hello. This is the sort-of intro post for commenters/readers of

ofurotaimu. Remember I said I welcome people to post pimp posts of their own? But I think I might've scared people off or something, idk, but it's not working LOL. So, this is like a replacement for it.

I talk a lot in the community (super lots) but I don't know much about you guys except for those times we flail around in the comments. And it's a bit lonely not knowing people, especially those who aren't registered in LJ or DW since I only know you by name (or worse, IP address, wtf). So, take this as a survey for me and other readers to know more about you and the things that make you happy :). Who knows, you might also meet people who have the same flail material as you do.

So, if you frequent this comm whether you use DW/LJ or none, please please fill this out. All fields are optional, don't answer some questions if you don't want to. I'd love to know everyone's favorites and how you got into the fandom :3. As for the favorites part, take it as your kind of "pimp post" for your favorites so feel free to include links and spazz and whatnot :D. It's your spotlight, so write whatever you want. Just remember, this is a public post which can be read by people everywhere even from Jupiter :D.

Heard about it here and there (+popipo parodies) when I was in the sims community, but only seriously explored it when a friend posted and gushed about Cendrillon video... JackxCho version (she also posted TouraixUsa version which I prefer!! I thought is original voice actor)! The illustrations were interesting... the premise was interesting... amateur producers but the songs were awesome...
◕ how did you get into utattemita? See above ^^; I like mixing songs... so it was great to listen to the various ones and try to get that sort of quality too. But then... that's... just an excuse right... of course... it was those singers' voices that made me want to listen more and more.

◕ which part do you like the most? Your information about the utaite, in particular, but I think you did a great job in providing so much information about the whole utattemita theme in general that it really makes them feel like famous artists ^^ That's what i like the most!

Hmm... maybe... discussion posts about their namahousou (well, can't catalogue all but whichever that anyone has managed to catch), maybe? I think if it's just summarising what happened or just discussing our favourite bits of the housou, should be fine... (f-locked) Cos I'm seldom able to catch their housou (working T_T and I'm nemurihime lol) and would love to know what happened... also would love to talk about those I have managed to catch as well, they share interesting tidbits!

Well... just like to share that, before I really knew who the utaite were, I came across this song, Anatano utahime http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP06RF7RBdE&feature=related It was simple, but the lyrics... I love it. It got me veeeery interested in Vocaloids. Until now, I'm still keeping a copy of this song on my phone ^_^ I've not come across any utattemi covers of it, but I've not looked anyway, and even if I do, I think I won't listen to those... no one but Miku, that sort of feeling ^^;

Hello and thanks for replying to this post! Answering some of your concerns, if that's okay :3.

- We're actually planning a namahousou scheduler sometime next year. The problem is that some namahousou need paid accounts to be viewed (like clear's always full namas) and some don't have timeshifts, so it's a bit difficult to organize what exactly should be in namahousou posts. But we're working on it! o/ Big event namahousous like the undokai or the daikaigi or nicoraji are usually discussed in Skype, though! Ofurotaimu people make flailrooms there to spazz real time ^^;. We also discuss stuff in twitter, if you have one feel free to join? Anyway, we'll see next year :3

As for namahousou translations, I translate some in my DW, so feel free to visit? ^^;

As for your PS, Anata no Utahime is composed by azuma. The Miku cover is unparalleled, I think so, too, but if you somewhat become interested in covers (there are very few), there's Mangetsu's and Aomofu's.

So good to hear this!! e... just something that came to mind, hope you don't mind if I say this. By scheduler, I'm seeing it as a calendar/event list (am I right?) I think... effective organisation for that can only be done with the bigger namahousou or collab housou, those that get announcements beforehand? Even if no member to date has attended that particular housou, it could still be on the list, like, to show it happened. I guess the more random/small ones could be contributed by people who chance upon them. Then from there... maybe it could link to separate posts of what happened in the housou as related by the members. If this causes too much post spam though, maybe for the smaller random ones, you could have a 'housou for the week 12/13-12/18' post, and members can share what happened (in properly titled replies), and these replies are linked in the overall big scheduler post.

Hm... I hope I make sense, and not stepping on any toes >O< Sorry for it being so long. [Maybe this should have been sent in a PM instead orz) I don't mind to help out if one needs extra hands！

◕ how did you get into vocaloid/utattemita? The answer is the same, so I'll just combine the answer. Basically, I became interested in vocaloid after a relatively long time of disinterest. A friend of mine that was already into it sent me a folder with vocaloid songs and some covers, and that's how it began. \o\
◕ first utaite/singer you ever encountered: Uh... Probably Mitani Nana, actually. I'm pretty sure her Luka Luka Night Fever cover was the first utaite MP3 I heard from that folder.
◕ first producer you ever encountered: First ever? No idea. My first contact with vocaloid was some song called Darlin' Please, and the youtube upload didn't say anything on who the producer was, or the original nico nico link.

I first got into it after seeing some fanarts on dA, then YTing it. The first video I ever saw was the fanmade PV for Dark Woods Circus, I think.

A long time before I came to know of utattemita, I came across an APH video for England and When Swindlers Start Laughing Out. A while later, I decided to try and find out who sung it. This is why Michan is my favorite Utaite xD It all sorta grew from there.

Probably the Yamai, Tourai, Re:A, Utawa Sakura and Usa AHS, although I really didn't know what it was .

◕ how did you get into vocaloid? Through a Hetalia PV using Kurousa's "Cantarella". I looked up the song and discovered ichika's PV and I've been hooked since.
◕ how did you get into utattemita? Hmm~ I'm not really certain. I kinda just found it by clicking around on YouTube.
◕ first utaite/singer you ever encountered: I actually encountered four around the same time. It was either Choucho and Jack singing "Cendrillon" or clear and Dasoku singing "magnet".
◕ first producer you ever encountered: Kurousa, then followed by minato...and then I have no clue.
