Nicoraji (Asamakku, Cleanero, Dagero) Reports
First of all, thank you to everyone who participated in the Skype chat for three consecutive days /o/!! I'm really glad to see everyone get along and flail together and while we're a bit too random and spazzy that we kind of made all those pencils crazy, it was really fun! (aside from the part where I have no more dignity, let's not talk about that...)
Second, this is a more coherent report on what happened in the three Nicoraji episodes for those who missed it/cannot watch. This is not a complete report, though, just a list of interesting things that happened in the show. You can still listen to the episodes via timeshift.
Third, this is my translation of what happened and some of them might be inconsistent. Please do not copy-paste anywhere without my permission, thanks!
Asamakku 092010
• No faces were shown and only Asamaru is in the studio because Jack is in his hometown Osaka and was just broadcasting via Skype.
• The hosts comments that Asamaru is too thin and asked him if he is eating properly (he does, he said).
• Because they didn't show their faces, only fanart of them were shown. Asamaru's art was drawn by Jack and vice-versa. The host said Asamaru's fanart of Jack is cute and wondered if it is accurate. (Jack's hair is quite long at the moment)
• The host said Jack's Asamaru art seems a bit off because Asamaru is wearing glasses and he is not that fat. Jack said he tried to make the drawing as cute as Asamaru.
• The host asked them how they met. Asamaru said he watched one of Jack's uploads by chance, got touched, and e-mailed him to ask if they wanted to be friends. Jack felt happy and replied back and it had been like that since then.
• Their first meetup (March 2010) was initiated when Jack wrote to Asamaru and asked if he wanted to come to Osaka to visit (note: this invitation was apparently encouraged by Tourai and Choucho, according to their housou).
• When they met, they sang in karaoke for four hours. (You can view my report of their first meetup in my journal
• The host them about Asamakku Radio, which started July 2009 as an hourly radio show outside Nico Nico Douga. When the namahousou option was introduced, they moved there and since then had a namahousou every night.
• They said that they have never refused each other when it comes to holding a namahousou. They also said that they have never fought before.
• The host wondered if they ever get tired of each other and if they should enter their namahousou count in Guinness.
• The host asked them when do they think they will stop holding lives. Asamaru said probably when he gets married.
• The host asked if their schedules ever clash then, because it seemed impossible to hold a namahousou that religiously. Asamaru said they match each other's schedules accordingly and when he is going out or has something to do, he calls Jack to inform him. The host said their relationship is kind of suspicious.
• The host then asked what if one of them fell sick. Jack said one of them will still hold the namahousou while the other will just comment and stuff.
• Asamaru spends time specifically looking for games to play for their namahousou.
• Someone wrote in to ask if they want each other to improve something. Asamaru said he wanted Jack to sing more. Jack said Asamaru should stop being so careless (this is related to the incident when Asamaru accidentally showed half of his face in PointFive's namahousou and was scolded by Jack).
• Someone wrote in to ask what their most difficult Nico-related work was. Jack said it was singing Cendrillon with Choucho, because it was hard to grasp the pitch. Asamaru said it was his earlier works because he would sometimes play, record, mix and encode all by himself.
• The host talked about their ongoing matsuri collaboration with EheheP (of the Boku Mote, Pero Pero fame). Their matsuri is called Nade Nade Matsuri where they will coerce other singers to sing covers of the new EheheP song. They did a cover themselves, Jack sang in a recording and Asamaru sang live and played his guitar.
• Apparently, the Boku Mote matsuri was a success, with 42 singers taking part in doing covers for it.
• EheheP sent a letter to the radio show and encouraged everyone to support the matsuri and his thoughts of wanting to be hugged and patted by a girl where inputted into the song. So, please support him and if they can, give him a pat (nade nade), too.
Cleanero 092110
• Unlike with Asamakku, Clear and Nero showed their faces to the audience.
• They are both guesting in Nicoraji for the second time, so the host asked them what were their thoughts when they first came to Nicoraji. Clear said, "I thought the studio was too narrow." And the host said, "Just because you're in Oricon you can say that?!" and asked him to sign things.
• Apparently, clear's songs are now being broadcast via radio all over Japan.
• The host mentioned that Nero will be appearing in the next Daikaigi and asked Clear if he has some advice for his friend. Clear advised him to not forget the blocking.
• The host asked if they really live in one apartment building for real (utaite mansion lol) and Clear said yes. But there are no other singers in their mansion. Clear lives in the 4th floor while Nero lives in the 3rd floor.
• Nero said they're currently recruiting utaite neighbors. He also said that he stayed in that building because Clear was there.
• The host asked if they were childhood friends and Clear said they went to school together in Kumamoto. They even played in a band with Nero on guitars and Clear on vocals.
• Nero kind of slipped a little and was about to mention the name of the band when Clear stopped him. It's apparently a 4-character word starting with the character "Se". The name was taken from parts of the members' names and since Clear thought of it, he's a bit embarrassed to say what the name is.
• However, they do not have any contact with the rest of the band anymore and Clear thinks they've forgotten about it.
• When asked about their dreams, Clear's is to perform in Budokan. Nero's is to just sing and sing, like in karaoke.
• Someone mailed in a question asking why they don't just live in a big room in their apartment since they're in the same building anyway. Clear wondered why and Nero asked if they should (Shiyou ka?). The host felt out of place.
• The host said there might be problems if they bring girls to their apartment but Clear said it's not a problem since they mostly bring guys anyway. Nero said the apartment is mostly of guys, too.
• The host asked them to record Nade nade for the Asamakku matsuri.
• They played the uta shiritori game again. Basically one will sing part of a song and end in a random syllable and the following player has to sing something starting with the last syllable. The host asked if Nero remembered it and he said he cannot forget it anyway. Nero said he'll make a comeback with this game.
• He failed. And suddenly, Sekihan appeared to play with them.
Dagero 092210
• Gero was late so the radio show stalled a bit.
• The host said if Gero didn't come he will be left with Dasoku who wouldn't talk so it'd be a very boring Nicoraji.
• Dasoku showed his face but Gero wore aHeart Sutra mask over his face.
• The host asked if Dasoku was sleeping and Dasoku said he is trying to get out of that Dasoclear image (the joke was from daikaigi because he didn't move at a ll during his and clear's duet and people joked that he was asleep). He also seemed to have adopted Clear's way of saying "oya oya".
• The host asked if Dasoku and Clear had done each of everything. Dasoku didn't comment.
• Both Dasoku and Gero are guesting for the second time. They played a clip of Gero's first time in Nicoraji where he completely messed up his uta shiritori game. First, he sang Iroha Uta and ended it in "n" which is a lost cause in the game. Then he lost again when he sang "sashimi sashimi" over and over.
• The host asked Dasoku to comment on the clip and he said Gero's just interesting.
• The host asked them how they became such good friends. Dasoku said he can't remember. The host wondered if Dasoku just went along with the flow when Gero asked him to be friends.
• Gero said they talked first during Smiley*2 recordings and he was a bit nervous around Dasoku. Eventually they hit it off because they had some similar interests. The host wondered if their relationship is really friendship or teacher-student.
• The host asked Dasoku if he has any advice for Gero during the daikaigi.
• The host asked Dasoku to introduce his song.
• The host explained once more asamakku's Nade nade matsuri and asked them to sing, too. apparently they already prepared their covers. dasoku was a nade nade with molestation on the side and gero is nade nade unintelligible version.
• They played the uta shiritori game and Gero still failed.
• Dasoku decided to sing songs which have repeated lyrics like Scissorhands (aishite, aishite), Tonari no Totoro (totoro totoro ...)
• They were reading letters and one of them was from france. she asked if any of the utaite will be going to france for japan expo. and then there became a joke like foo-san + france = foorance
• They did the speed comment reading in all floors of the live and new words were coined like "dagero sashimi" "aishiteru tono" and "mokachahan"
• They announced that their DVD "Dagero: Doudeshou?" will have a volume 2 and that they just finished recording it. Apparently, the first one was quite a success.
Lastly, I have to apologize but the spotlights will be late again. I have a Japanese exam this Saturday and I haven't studied yet so ;_;. Spotlights will be posted over the weekend! So sorry!!

Nero: That's true, I saw.
Clear: Well, I did remember my blocking, okay! But when I entered the stage everything was white.
Host: And didn't you have Dasoku with you? He should have guided you...but then again you might've made more mistakes.
Clear: That guy totally ignored the blocking, you know.
Nero: LOL
Clear: It's because he didn't move at all!
Host: Dasoku, are you listening to this?!

Gero: That would be weird, right?

(lol heidi references)
