Utattemita Ranking (November 23-30, 2009)

I'm really way behind ;;. I hope people are reading this even though it's late OTL. Two rankings ago, there is a new insert introduced to the ranking aside from the weekly 5 pickups. This is the "last year in top 5" segment where the top 5 songs in the ranking one year ago will be played. I guess I should be including those songs, too, but we'll see :).

I'll be including the weekly top ten and the overall top thirty of the week. Links to the nicovideo are included as well as some information. You may download the .mp3 file by inputting the link @ nicosound. Enjoy!

• Atoru does a lot of covers of Hetalia MADs and I while I understand the Hetalia fever Nico people have, I will never understand the MADs xDD;.

o2. 1925 [Yoru]

• This is a nice cover compared to some earlier covers of the song. Yoru just sometimes overexert her voice and it sounds a bit whiny.

o3. カナザワカレー [ななひら]

• This is an original song and is the usual cutesy pop song Nanahira is used to singing.

• Seriyu has a really wonderful voice and while she sings by the book, she can still make the song interesting to listen to. Envy, however, is too slow and poignant to catch my interest. /sleepy

• LOL I'm used to guys singing covers of this Rin song, but Shima's still amused me. It's not as sexy as, say, Clear's or Dasoku's, but it's pretty well sung.

• Wotamin has gone back to singing high ballads after her amazing cover of "Tengaku". I'm not complaining though, since her voice fits this kind of ballads.

• Tane is back with a great cover! I really miss this guy. He's not as amazing as some of my favorites but for some reason, he always sounds good to me :3 (Well, I did listen to his sheep-counting thing sometime ago...)

• I love natsuP's VanaN'ice songs. This is a pretty good cover, a little lacking in punch but I might be just spoiled by VaSoClear's Imitation Black :3. I've seen quite a lot of covers for this. A new trend after Imitation Black? :P

• Another new name to me that I should look up XD;. This is an okay cover. Not impressive, but also not bad (well, it's in the ranking after all). I guess it's just that I listened to Anima's version before I watched this cover fully so I'm a bit biased :x.

• This is a cover of a theme from the game Romancing Saga. It's a really hair-raising, beautiful cover and it made me look up the original songs for the game even if I haven't played some of them ♥. The rap cracked me up a bit though XD;. I hope Hyadain does more covers.

• Another amazing cover by Pico *A*. I've always been awed by his voice, god. I have no complaints about this song LOL. And [TEST]'s mini appearances playing guitar was a nice treat <3.

• Ahhh Anima. He's on an uploading spree this past few months and all of them are quite nice. 1925 is not one of my favorite covers from him (well, Gom holds the best 1925 cover for me), but it's still well done XD.

• Okay. Wow, this song. It's about to reach a million views (800,000 already!) and that is epic compared to Dasoku and clear's path to a million views. I guess everyone loves this very cracked cover XD, I can't say I don't. Seriously, magnet is probably the one with the most covers constantly in this ranking.

• Jigitan has a new song :O. I thought he had stopped uploading songs but I guess he's back~. This is a rearranged version of the twisted song and I think it was done pretty well (as usual XD).

• Mikarin's voice is cute and she can reach high notes effortlessly, but this song doesn't cut it for me...

• This is the most-viewed cover of magnet and has the two singers singing in both female and male voices XD;. I don't like this as much as I like DasoClear's version, but it's amazing.

• This is surprisingly good! It's like I heard a new side of Kettaro (but it could be just me, since I don't listen to him often) XD. It's a slightly upbeat ballad and aside from Kettaro's gentle tones, it is nice because it's mixed well.

15. Don't say ”Lazy”- Band Edition- [Niconi☆school]

• Ahhh, this cover is just too cool for words, plus we get to see the whole band playing in the video.

• I haven't heard many of Hanatan's songs, but her voice reminds me of Usa. This is also currently the most watched Romishin cover and it's not bad.

• Oh god, LOL. I admit, even if Yoppei's all out crazy in this cover, I still listen to it over and over LOL-ing. I can even say this is one of my favorite Meltdown covers XD;.

• I don't like this cover as much as I liked Neru/Gero or DasoClear's, but this is amazing because at the middle of the song, Piko and Sekihan sings in girl voices. XD
