Weekly Utattemita Ranking #108 (November 22-29, 2010)

This week has a lot of songs you should've checked out by now since they're almost all by popular utaite. There are some downs this week, including all of Lon's, sadly (I'm not worrying because we all know how Lon's songs are XD). There are also some new people in the ranking who you might want to check out. You might be surprised by a certain person dominating the rankings with his old, old songs, but that's fine if you like crack...and Beatles :3. This ranking is quite bewildering if you start watching/reading from the bottom, so prepare to be surprised and question reality /shot XD.

• This is actually the first male cover of this song that I've listened to, and I think Caz's song has been upped in GAR points by Vin ^^;. I don't usually like screamo, but wow, wth was that. I guess people have also been checking Vin after he was announced as a guest in a mini-concert next year :).

• I haven't gotten used to Yuu's voice, but I also haven't gotten to his choice of songs LOL. It's always creepy though XD.

• This reminds me of old anime ;_;. The voice is really pretty, too! Like...Okiayu Ryoutarou.

o4. 「Sweet devil」を歌ってみた【グリリ】

• I actually like this better than Nobunaga's version. There's still a mountain of autotune in this song, which can't be helped, but Guriri sounds more solid and more refined. There's a bit of awkwardness with the phrasing but you can't help getting confused with the Engrish in this song ^^;.

o5. 「after this」歌ってみた＠そらこ

• I haven't heard from Sorako much before this so I'm kind of glad she's uploading pretty covers again. Her high voice suits NioP's Miku range, although sometimes a bit missing from her cover. Very simply sung, which makes it a nice listen.

o6. 「Specification」歌ってみた【柿チョコ】

• One of the clearest covers of this song that I've heard. Kakichoco nailed the song and how to make it sound crisp and clear and full of feelings without effort.

• Here comes the anime!Matryoshka bandwagon. I find them really amusing for some reason, the serifu especially.

• Konori does Gakupo really well as always, although I have to remind myself to separate him from Machige's creepy works as I listen.

• Reminds me of Nanahira, just one the more shriller level LOL ^^;

• Ko~ra has a nice voice that I wouldn't think would sound good in rock-ish songs but he actually did the song well.
