Also, today at 3PM Japan Time, Nicoraji will have a special episode where they will hold the radio show open to the public in Shibuya. The guests include clear, dasoku, pokota, noaru, kettaro, miichan, saiya, nomiya ayumi and rapbeat. You can view information about it here. The link also has the ... link to the Nico Nico broadcast.

Apparently, timeshifting for free users is allowed, although you cannot timeshift more than 1 video at a time. This means when you timeshifted a future namahousou, you cannot timeshift another one. You either have to remove the previous one or watch it. So, if you want to watch this nicoraji episode so badly but cannot at the specified time, you can try timeshifting it and watching it later. As for watching it on the specified time, it'll be easier than other lives since nicoraji can hold more audience than normal namahousou :). (that one featured program I watched has 20k viewers...orz). So, I hope you all get to watch esp. if you like any of the guests! :)

Thanks to the_desserter and tokiya86 @ twitter for informing me about the timeshift thing!

MamomoP (まももP)

mylist | piapro | blog

MamomoP is not a well-known composer. S/he started uploading songs at the latter part of 2009 and has been steadily uploading until now. S/he is mostly known for his/her soft-note ballads with tendencies to have a slow rise or climax at the second verse.

S/he writes mostly ballads with various instruments like piano, violin, organ, chimes, and nature music (birds tweeting, etc.). His/her songs are almost always very gentle and poignant, with great emphasis on the atmosphere of the song based on the title. For example, "Staying Indoors" is a quiet song insinuating the solitary atmosphere in the house. "Natsu to Himawari to Mugiwara Boushi", which means "Summer, Sunflowers, and Straw Hat" had a feeling of outdoors, with crickets chirping and an airy rhythm. His/her songs are very easy on the ears and are nice to listen to if you want a break from the usual pop, rock and screamo music.

sample songs
Staying Indoors (Miku)
Aldebaran (Miku)
Yuu (GUMI)
Natsu to Himawari to Mugiwara Boushi (GUMI)
Shinkai (Miku)

nikki says:
I admit I knew of MamomoP a little late, with his/her "Natsu to Himawari to Mugiwara Boushi" which was part of the GUMI birthday bash last July. I loved it so much and I searched for the producers other works, which were equally wonderful. I like the "quietness" of the songs s/he writes, whether they're happy or sad. The piano parts and the very soft orchestra bits are really nice, too. Even if I don't get the lyrics in one go (there's still the translating and all that), the overall setting of each of his/her song is clear and embedded in the music itself.

Pagodes/ぱごだ

mylist | blog | mixi community

Her name is spelled as "Pagoda" but the actual spelling that she uses in her blog/usernames is "Pagodes", taken from Claude Debussy's piece named Pagodes, which is said to have been written with influences from the Orient. She started uploading songs in 2008 and is still uploading covers now.

You might recognize Pagodes as the one who sang a beautiful rendition of "Ryuusei" by minato. She has an "angelic" voice: high but smooth and gentle, never sounding shrill or squawking even in very high notes. If I'm to compare her to some singers, her voice type would be very near F9's and Hanatan's (high range Hanatan) or maybe a higher version of Seriyu's. She has a way of making songs sound serene and easy to listen to. If you have heard "Ryuusei" then you know what I mean :). Pagodes usually sings ballads and pop songs with slightly slow beats which suit her voice perfectly.

sample songs

Melody in the Sky (40mP)
Moon (iroha)
VOiCE (LovelyP)
Light Song (kz)
Yoru no Soko (gomezP)

nikki says

I didn't know about Pagoda before "Starry Sky" so I am thankful that the CD has introduced me to her wonderful voice. To be honest, I do not like any cover of Ryuusei aside from hers. I was drawn to her amazingly high but gentle voice. Some of her songs are not mixed well (especially the earliest ones) but her voice makes up for the quality.
