Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #130 (March 22 - 29)
This is the first time I'm posting about the weekly Vocaloid ranking. Initially, I just wanted to do the monthly summary ranking, but since I always check Weekly Vocaran anyway, why not include them in my posts here ^^;. I also put a list of my favorites for the week @ mintyrain. Yes, there's a thing called life here, I just don't notice it much XD.
This is just a list. Order is not reversed, unless people request it to be in such :). /lazy

01. Hatsune Miku no Tomadoi/The Confusion of Hatsune Miku (Hatsune Miku) - cosMo/BousouP
- one of his many super fast songs, it's not surprising that this is number 1 for this week :).
02. Monochrome ∞ Blue Skies (Hatsune Miku) - Noboru↑
- I really like this, but then again I like most of noboruP's songs.
03. Osorezan Revoir (Hatsune Miku) - Kapitarou
- Seemingly mysteriously sad song is mysteriously sad. The art is so simple and poignant. I also like its traditional melody.
04. Fate of Soul ~Period no Mukou no Yami~ (Kagamine Rin) - samfree
- This song by samfree seems to be less stellar compared to his Night series (Luka Luka Night Fever, Miki Miki Romantic Night, etc.) but I think it sounds really good. The melody's not as catchy as his other songs' but it's so grand! Rin sounds awkward at some points but it's negligible.
05. Internet City (Hatsune Miku) - scop
- I recently got addicted to this song and transcribed the lyrics here. Catchy melody aside, the lyrics are quite sad as they talk about the Internet, how people can be so far and fake in it and how people use it as a momentary form of comfort against RL.
06. Shisou Coup d'etat (Hatsune Miku) - RaimeiP
- It took quite a while for this song to grow on me because there's something a little wrong with Miku's voice against the rock-ish melody. But after I got used to it, it's not bad at all.
07. m9 (Kagamine Rin) - LiveP
- FFFFF. I love LiveP so I'm a bit biased towards this song ♥. Rin's not!shrill voice sometimes wavers in some weird tune but it's not bad. This is just as cute as Kokuhaku Sensation.
08. Sakura tire (Hatsune Miku) - DeadballP
- DBP's first entry in the ranking. The message is rather threatening, accompanied by the recurring percussion pulses throughout the song. It's another good song, but I prefer the one lower in the ranking, actually XD.
09. Rolling Girl (Hatsune Miku) - wowaka
- Epic song is epic, even in the utattemita category. What I like most in this song is the piano melody right at the start.
10. Unbalance (Kagamine Rin) - Dios/SignalP
- SignalP's anime theme-like song slips off the top spot. Despite the random Engrish, this song is still awesome.
11. Ura Omote Lovers (Hatsune Miku) - wowaka
- wowaka's viral video-inducing song reaches 1 million views! Congratulations~!
12. Eh? Ah, sou (Hatsune Miku) - papiyon (ChouchoP)
- It seems that a lot of people are waiting for this song in the ranking. The beat is really catchy (/weak at piano-like melodies) but the lyrics, not so much for me.
13. Just Be Friends (Megurine Luka) - DixieFlatline
- JBF even went up this week.
14. Tatakae! Ghost Writer (Megurine Luka) - DeadballP
- DeadballP's second song in the ranking. I like this more than Miku's song, very...samba-ish.
15. Mizubako (Hatsune Miku) - PolyphonicBranch
- This needs serious relistening to to get used to it, but it's nothing short of nice.
16. Nazotoki (Kagamine Len) - Hinata Haruhana
- This is a rather insightful song for me, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite Len songs. The creepy image in the PV still bugs me though ^^;.
17. Haru Koi Uta (Megurine Luka) - fatmanP
- A surprising boost of an old song here. One year anniversary boost?
18. Raison d'Etre Choudai (GUMI) - YM
- GUMi's voice is a little shaky in this song against the steady rock beats but it's nothing unusual. Her screams are fun to listen to XD.
19. Tenyuki no Ranpu (Megurine Luka and Hatsune Miku) - Ai$KonP
- This reminds me of anime opening songs. The Miku-Luka blending near the chorus is addicting.
20. central (Kagamine Len) - river
- So many pretty Len songs are being upped this month, this included. Len sounds a little too high at the start, but he gradually sounds better as the song continues. The piano melody's hypnotizing LOL.
21. Kusari no Shoujo (Hatsune Miku) - Noboru↑
- One of the NoboruP songs I really like. I just wonder what the sudden boost was for.
22. Kokuhaku Sensation (Kagamine Rin) - LiveP
- LiveP's cute song falls down a lot! But since he has a new song up, I guess it's inevitable.
23. Paradichlorobenzene (Kagamine Len) - OwataP
- Brainwashing song is still brainwashing all of us. I admit, I never moved on from having this stuck in my head every time it plays.
24. Atooi Jisatsu ni Teihyou no Arumicchan (GUMI) - Maero
- The lyrics translate somewhat to "Arumi-chan, Who is Known for Following Another's Example and Committing Suicide". The art itself is eerie and so is GUMI's voice. Those don't stop the song from being likable and loop-worthy, though.
25. Double Lariat (Megurine Luka) - Ago Aniki-P
- One time, I spent hours watching "Double Lariat" because I'm amused at seeing Luka spin even when the music is paused XD.
26. Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu/The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku (Hatsune Miku) - cosMo/BousouP
- Affected partly by cosMo's new upload, this song is nearing 3 million views!
27. Ikebukuro Lovers (Gakupo) - Kanae Fujishiro
- This is so strong!
28. magnet (Megurine Luka x Hatsune Miku) - minato
- I was expecting this to be higher because of the album release but I guess people are too busy listening to the album to watch the Nico version ^^;.
29. Sunmasen Mouseou-kyoku (Hatsune Miku) - MOL-P
- I don't know why I'm so amused with this XD;.
30. Guilty Verse (Hiyama Kiyoteru) - PeperonP
- Waaah, Sensei's song falls by a lot ;;. The song is still lovely anyway, and is one of my favorite Kiyoteru songs (not that there are many ;; ).

- This is a really cute song and I'm glad they used this as pick-up :).
