Weekly Vocaloid Ranking # 186 (April 18-25, 2011)
Today's ranking has a lot of movements, especially in the old songs (I'm a bit surprised at the rises XD). There is also the Kira Miki Fest, which is why we have 2-3 Miki songs in the ranking this week. There are also a lot of new ones to check out! :)
As always, thank you so much to Iori-san for adopting the ranking and taking the time to upload! Let's also hope that sippotan and his house/family are safe and are near recovery! That said, let's go on with the ranking.

01. Mermaid (GUMI) - monaca:factory
- Quite a different approach from monaca's previous works but wow. The beat is so catchy. It's bad that I heard covers of this song before the original but I still like them all anyway XD.
02. Shinkaron code:Variant (GUMI) - ORYO
- Title means "Evolutionary Theory Code: Variant". An impressive GUMI rock with GUMI in her usual breathy self (and surprisingly doesn't sound off at all!).
03. Last Effect (Hatsune Miku) - LastNoteP

04. Kimi no Kakera (Hatsune Miku) - KyotnP
- Title means "Pieces of You". I heard this melody before.... XD XD
05. Yozora ni Futatsu (GUMI) - koyori
- Title means "Two Under the Night Sky". Koyori's new song is more upbeat than Sainou Sampler and also more "mainstream" if I might say. I still like Sainou Sampler more but this still is well done.
06. Kichin de Kappa ga Tanishi Yuderu (Hatsune Miku) - ManbouP
- Title means "In the Kitchen, the Kappa Boils the Pond Snail". LOL I don't understand ;; but GUMI sounds good against the guitars.
07. Mienai Kuro ni Ochite Yuke (Hatsune Miku, Sorane Rana) - kaoling
- Title means "Fall into the Impenetrable Darkness". The song is so beautiful ;_;. But then again I've always been biased towards kaoling's works. But...so beautiful ; A ;
08. Border (Hatsune Miku) - Nakamura Shoutarou/Nikuman
- I'm sure most of you know Nikuman (he's a guitarist). This one's a really nice rock song with impressive guitar work (as expected) XD.
09. Mujitsu (Kagamine Len) - AVTechNO!
- Title means "Innocent". I didn't expect AV's song to have strong guitars like this, but I need to stop being surprised by this guy XD.
10. message (Hatsune Miku) - Pokota
- Surprise, surprise. Yes, Pokota is into composinf now, too. This is a Egamyer collaboration, though, because the mixing was done by another person. Still. Wow.
11. Last Battle (Kagamine Rin x Hatsune Miku) - JitabataP

12. Zero Gravity (Miki) - PeperonP
- PeperonP always tunes his Vocaloids in a unique way and Miki is no exception. Somehow she sounds a bit different, but in a good way. I like the beat of the song, too, with subtle orchestra effects in the background.
13. Korokoro Ringu (Hatsune Miku) - NekomushiP
- Title means "Small Rolling Ring". What a cute ballad! Also, the Miku tuning is so obvious XD.
14. Panda Hero (GUMI) - Hachi
- ↓13
15. Reverse Game (Hatsune Miku) - DeadballP
- Typical DeadballP work but with a more elaborate melody and less sharp guitars.
16. It's a Wonderful World (Hatsune Miku) - HAMO
- This sounds really familiar but really lovely, especially the instrumental parts.
17. KagamineP Mei Ittemiro! (Kagamine Rin/Len) - OrebananaP
- Title means "Say Kagamine P's Name". This is Orebanana's spinoff from maretu's song. Basically it lists all the producers who has works using Rin and Len XD

19. Goudatsu Shoujo (Miki) - Kanjyu
- Title means "Female Hijacker". The Miki songs in this week's ranking are part if the Kira Miki ★ Festival 2. Miki's tuned a bit lower than I'm used to here so I was surprised (it's beautiful though, for some reason I loved it).

21. SPIRAL GAME (Kagamine Rin/Len, Len Append, Megurine Luka, Hatsune Miku) - natsuP

22. Kuchinashi Bikuri to Hana no Machi (miki) - Mikito
- I am actually at a loss at what the title fully means but from what I understand it's something like "Jasmine Vikkly and the Flower Town". Kuchinashi is cape jasmine...I think. Anyway, this is a pretty ballad reminiscent of MamomoP's works at starts but starts to sound more enchanting, fairy-like at the chorus. The message's pretty poignant, but still nice.

- ↵ Title means "Ten Faces".
24. Bucket Tool (Hatsune Miku) - MomonochouP
- I thought this would be Photoshop related or something...

26. Nurui Cola to Ikareta Tokei (Megurine Luka / miki) - Ichikura
- Title means "Lukewarm Cola and Broken Watch". The song reminds me of whoo's songs but it's a whole new different feeling because of Miku's muffled tuning. It's actually nice.
27. Hatsune Miku no Katsu no de Aru (Nekomura Iroha/Hatsune Miku) - AkibaotaP
- Title means "It's Possibility to Win Against Hatsune Miku". I'm surprised at the tuning here. Iroha sounds so good. Also the trilled R's XD.
28. Rimokon (Kagamine Rin and Len) - Wonderful Opportunity
- ↓22 Title means "Remote Control"
29. Cool Kid (Hatsune Miku) - Yaogi
- Typical rock song with really nice bass melody and drums which are loud enough to cover the guitar's roughness but not to cover Miku's soft voice. The PV's cute.
30. Sainou Sampler (Hatsune Miku) - koyori
- ↵ Title means "Talent Sampler". This was pulled up because of koyori's new work.

tbh I am more of a fan of Mermaid the original than utattemita's, because of the really awkward intervals? Like, singers keep not...getting them quite right 8D. Like the wa↑kuwa↑ku and stuff hahaha. Also way for GUMI to pwned the top with 3 in the top 5!?
