Weekly Utattemita Ranking #114 (January 03-10, 2011)

There aren't so many new things this week, most of them are bandwagoning to either Yuyoyuppe's or Kurousa's new songs. Anyway, there is also a certain number 1 this week that made a ton of her other works return to the rankings XD.

There are a lot of changes in this week's ranking, with the loss of a lot of previous popular residents. Someone decided to dominate the top ten and a familiar face from the previous week appears again (in a new song!) to top the charts. This is a pretty satisfactory ranking for me (well...biases)

• Another cutesy song we often hear from Nanahira tops the new uploads. I'm not very fond of Nanahira's covers but she's really popular.

• How long has it been since Asamaru uploaded a solo cover? A LONG TIME. I like his voice a lot, not high and not too raspy either. I want his cover of under the darkness released like now :(. Anyway, I never expected him to sing this song TBH XD. It's cute in his own way.

• The last I heard from YU was Fate: Rebirth with ASK and I'm glad he's in the rankings again. I don't really dig this medley too much. I like Nanairo no NND more XD.

• This song is really well-covered these days! I'm surprised at all the people releasing their covers for this XD. This particular cover is a bit...crack-y? XD

• This is another song that has too many covers now (you'll see in a while XD). Soraru's voice reminds me of Faneru and ShounenT (gentle ;;) and this song just fits his type of voice. Soraru's starting to grow on me <33.

• Oh my God, this Vocarock cover O_O. I'm really interested on how she sang this song because well... I can say I'm not disappointed at all. So amazing *A*.

• Chibita appears twice in this countdown with the same song XD;. Chibita's voice reminds me of someone I can't remember (Kakichoco?). She has pretty strong vocals and she sang this song well. I've also just recently heard of her but she has a lot of fans already.

• I have a love-hate relationship with Mucchi's voice. Sometimes, he sings without effort and sounds like a host sounds amazing. Sometimes, I think he's overexerting. This cover is one of the "no effort" songs of his and I love it. I just get a bit worried when he reaches the high notes, but the revised, gentler tempo of the song fits his voice perfectly. And I am starting to rave about Mucchi so we'll stop now XD.

• Soraru appears for the second time in this countdown, covering one of my favorite songs <3. I'm biased towards Asamaru's cover, to be honest, but this cover isn't bad at all. Soraru just sounds a tad tipsy XD. I like his Jenga more.

• This is Chibita's first cover of Jenga. It's a little too soft to be heard and the mixing isn't good. I'm glad she uploaded a better version! CELO-P encoded the revised version for her.

• Okay, this is a very...psychedelic song? XD Actually, it confused me a bit and since I haven't heard the Vocaloid version I'm a bit at a loss. Fukuwa seemed to go all out singing this song, though XD.

• It's a no name contribution so the singer is probably new. But she sang it really well and it seems she has gained some fans :3.

• I actually like this cover more than Mitani Nana's version. Usa has a continuous, full voice that doesn't get too high in this song and that makes the song more smoothly sung for me.

• I almost didn't recognize Agya :O. She has a deeper voice in this cover not to mention it's synthesized a little. She sounds really good.

• Wow, a wonderful jazzy cover of Scissorhands done by a woman. This is really a good cover and I love it to bits <3. Her voice reminds me of Yamai's.
