Weekly Vocaloid Ranking # 222 (December 26, 2011 - January 02, 2012)

As the first ranking of the year, this list has quite a few retains from last week, although there are a lot of new stuff worth checking out, some of them for the Kagamines' birthday matsuri. Enjoy the lot of the Rin and Len stuff as well as one very special KAITO song :). Also, you might be surprised about the real voice Naho has as a greeting XD;.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking # 221 (December 19-26, 2011)

Yesterday was Kagamine Rin and Len's birthday! But the Kagamine wave still hasn't reached this week's ranking (too late D:) so we'll have to wait next week for that, hopefully. However, this ranking is pretty special in a way because you get to hear awesome first songs from THREE new Vocaloids. That would be CUL, Yuzuki Yukari, and IA ~Aria on the Planetes~. I'm surprised at how wonderful they all sound, not to mention they were tuned and their songs composed by really veteran/popular producers, so I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. Aside from that, we have a few strong songs from last week as well as new stuff from popular sings (longtimenoseedoriko!) so this is pretty much a ranking that won't bore you at all. Enjoy!

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking # 205 (August 29 - September 5, 2011)

This week is Miku's birthday week, so you'll be expecting a lot of new Miku songs to honor her anniversary. You can find songs uploaded for her birthday under this tag.

Since it's Miku, the most popular Vocaloid, you might be expecting that this is a Miku-fied week. I am also surprised that it's not at all like that! Rin/Len has quite a few songs this week, both new and old from last ranking. Luka has some, too! And our top three this week aren't even Miku songs! Ok, I'll stop acting all suspenseful and get on with it ^^;.

Vocaloid Midyear Special Ranking 2010 2nd Part (Hatsune Miku compilation)

As you might remember, I posted the midyear special ranking sometime in July, where the songs included were those uploaded from December 2009 to June 2010. This is the LATTER PART of that ranking, where the top songs from June 15 to December 14, 2010 are uploaded.

The video has 80 songs, but the mylist has 200 songs O_O;. A-anyway, I've included them all in the list. As with the previous mid-year ranking and all the other rankings which aren't weekly, this is written in reverse for more suspense :D.

Since all of them are Miku songs, I'll just type the song, composer and additional Vocaloids used if there are any :).

The last few are so predictable XD;. Anyway, I'll be doing the rest of the rankings, too (how many more to go? D: ) so please wait for them! /o/

...The tags...I...will do them later orz.

Nico Nico Kouhaku 2010-2011

Nico Nico Kouhaku was a live concert streamed in Nico Nico Douga last December 31. Singers included Sekihan, Saiya, Kouhei, Dasoku, Ten, Nero, Noir, Nomiya Ayumi, Puriko, Pokota, Mi-chan, Yamadan, Yuge and Rapbit. Vocaloid producers included HachioujiP, TokuP, T-Pocket and DeadballP. Dancers included Tadanon, Takuma, Mirii, Nyanko, etc.

Someone uploaded parts of the Kouhaku in NND, although I don't know how legit it is and if it will be deleted soon. Anyway, for those who missed it:

Part 1 - Sawagi part 1a

Part 2 - Sawagi part 1b and part 2

Part 3 - Utatte/Odotte part 1 and Sawagi part 3

Part 4 - Utattemita

Part 5 - Golden Bomber

Weekly Vocaran 168 (12/13-12/30, 2010)

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #168 (December 13-20, 2010)

Not many new things today, which is a bit disapppointing since the old songs just ended up getting juggled from one rank to another. There are quite a few well-known P's who uploaded this week, anyway, so the ranking is worth a look!

Weekly Vocaran # 166 (11/29-12-06, 2010)

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #166 (November 29- December 6, 2010)

As with the utattemita ranking, I apologize for the lateness and if you might notice, the lack of the history part in this ranking. I still don't have my Internet at home back, office still blocks Nicovideo blahblah. :(

Anyway, is it just me or the influx of new songs last time died a bit so we have only a few new songs this week? The ones at the top are mostly songs we already know, but amazing nonetheless.

Weekly Vocaran #165 (11/22-11/29, 2010)

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #165 (November 22-29, 2010)

Like with the utattemita ranking, this week's Vocaloid ranking is also good because of the influx of new songs, not to mention new producers :D. The top 10 are all new songs with the songs from the previous ranking pushed downwards D:. There are a lot of new people to check out so I hope you enjoy this ranking.

Producer Spotlight: HachioujiP

Double spotlight because I can't choose who to feature XD;

八王子P / 8#Prince / HachioujiP

mylist | website | blog

HachioujiP started uploading songs in Nico Nico Douga on the latter part of 2009 and has uploaded five songs to date. His genre is mostly electronic dance music or at least electro-pop, with very catchy beats and drilling synthesizer music. His songs are always upbeat and His Vocaloid is Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka and while he doesn't tune them to perfection, he has a different approach in making already robotic Miku/Luka sound even more like so (autotune?). Still, that is very much one of the things that make his songs hits.

songs
Electric Love
Sweet Devil
Sakura Saku
Keep Only One Love
Mad Lovers

nikki says

I knew of 8#Prince as late as his Sweet Devil, which is very catchy (with saucy lyrics, if I might add). I'm not a big fan of techno or electronica, so I don't really keep up with his works although I have a couple of favorites, Sweet Devil and Keep Only One Love.

Vocaloid Midyear Special Ranking 2010 (Hatsune Miku compilation)

This is my first time actually waiting for and transcribing the midyear Vocaloid Ranking, so I'm a bit excited despite the work before me XD.

This ranking considered Hatsune Miku songs uploaded from 12AM of December 15, 2009 up 11:59PM of June 14, 2010. The formula of computing for the ranks is not included in the blurb, but I think it's almost the same as the weekly Vocaloid ranking formula. The video included the top 80 songs, but the mylist link has 478 songs OTL. There's no way I CAN type up all of them so I'll just include here the top 100. There's still the Kagamine, KAITO, Luka and GUMI rankings, so please look forward to them :). Please take this as an opportunity to listen to Hatsune Miku songs considered as the best this half of 2010 :).

So far, this and the annual rankings are the only ones I type in reverse order (from 100-1) so that it'd be more exciting :). If you want me to do the midyear/annual rankings in the traditional way (the 1-xx order), just tell me :).

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #143 (June 14-21, 2010)

This week's ranking is unbelievably screwed up for some reason. I don't know if it's because of some new releases, celebrations, or some sort of evil master plan. I was expecting a lot of GUMI in this ranking but it seems I've been disappointed :(. More thoughts below!

Anyway, those with blue arrows are the old songs. I'm wrote this while I was watching JPN vs PAR football so if there are any mistakesI overlooked, I'm so sorry D:.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking # 142 (June 14-21, 2010)

I personally like the new Luka and Rin songs in the ranking this week, as well as the Hayabusa tribute. Most of the songs are new, I think. But there are strong ones which have made a home of the ranking /coughwowakacough.
