Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #177 (February 14 - 21, 2011)

This is not a strong week, although there are a lot of new covers. It's just that you'll be seeing a lot of returnees, a couple of them caused by the number 1 song and the rest...because we love 'em? XD The rest are remnants from last week. Still, it doesn't mean there are no good songs this week. There are a few which are really worth checking out! :3

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #172 (January 10 - January 17, 2011)

As with the utattemita ranking, this week is also productive in terms of uploaded Vocaloid works. So many new and pretty things are at the top this week, that they pushed the oldies down. A lot of genre are also covered this week, from hard rock to jazz to ballad to just plain eeriness XD.

I apologize for the lateness in the rankings. The weekend has been quite busy, riajuu time, if I might say ^^;. Anyway, typing this up at work so I can't view the videos. There are a lot of MMDs this week because of the upcoming MMD 5th cup, which I learned from singing_robots. Aside from the MMD ones, there are quite few new uploads but that doesn't mean this ranking lacks awesome stuff. There's a couple of keeps in the rank, a lot of movement and some returners, all of them pulled up by either covers or new uploads from the same producer.

For a proper intro, please read the Miku ranking here. The Kagamine twins has 184 songs in the ranking mylist, but I'm only tackling the top 100. Since there are technically two singers here (Rin and Len), I'll note who is singing which song.

So far, this and the annual rankings are the only ones I type in reverse order (from 100-1) so that it'd be more exciting :). If you want me to do the midyear/annual rankings in the traditional way (the 1-xx order), just tell me :).

You might notice that some of the titles/P names are still in Japanese. It's because I'm not sure how to romanize them correctly.

A few announcements so as not to waste post count :).

• I forgot to do the monthly ranking...again. Sorry. I'll do it tomorrow.
• I might not be able to do spotlights again this week. (Work deadline is on Friday, but you don't want to know the details) Next week! I'll try my best!

• I updated the tracklist of PointFive's enhAnce CD here :).
• Hiwaily*2, that host club CD like Smiley*2 has formally introduced their cast as Amu, Miichan, So~ma, Jigiru, Riseha and [REN]. Note that they also have Kantou and Tokyo branches. Riseha is a girl, but she sounds so adorable here ;_;.
• Kogeinu has announced in his new(?) blog the release of two CDs collectively called Uttemoratta. The first CD, which is themed "popular singers collection" has Clear, Dasoku, Pokota, ASK and Kettaro. The second CD, themed "no gender distinction" has Kogeinu, Hitori, che:Sakurai and vip-tenchou. XD This is going to be interesting. Please get your wallets ready by July!

After I messed up a bit with the weekly utaran, I'm making sure vocaran is at least posted on Tuesday my time ^^;. (or else I'll be drowning in other stuff to post and lyrics to transcribe). This week made me O_O a number of times. Why? Find out :3.
